I am tired of this name. It doesn’t reflect who I am anymore, other than the fact that I still am a Stephen King fan. I originally chose it because I was in an extremely unhappy marriage.
My life has changed dramatically. My husband passed away, and I am seeing a wonderful man who treats me with tenderness and love. My dark and dreary house is being transformed into a haven of light! Aggh—that sounds so hokey. But we are remodeling my kitchen, and painting. I’m really the happiest I have ever been in my life!
Tom just asked me to marry him on October 25th. He will be moving in in December.
Anyway, after 1400 posts maybe y’all know me a little bit to help me pick out a new name.
I still like to bowl, and ride my motorcycle (a Honda Rebel 250cc,) and cook. I have a 19 year old who seems to be getting his life back on track. He has a job finally, and is going back to school in January. He got into a little trouble last Spring Break and is now on probation. He and Tom like each other, too.
I love the beach, and mornings with my coffee, and garage sales…and The Straight Dope of course!
I Said Bacon! I’m Happy and Angry Scabby Monkey Stumpy! Carefree Maniac Undiagnosed Fish Shave it all off!
None of them mean anything (except the Ralph Wiggum quote) and probably don’t apply to you. Most of them I just made up right now, except Scabby Monkey which I’ve been promoting (without luck) for nigh unto two years now. No one ever wants to be Scabby Monkey…
This is just the sweetest post! It literally had me all choked up. Congratulations and Very Best Wishes to you and your future groom! Here’s wishing you a lifetime filled with love and happiness!
As for a new username, there have been several good ones suggested already, but I’ll just throw in the pot for consideration, Rebel with a Cause, since your life has found a renewed and invigorating purpose. Or, in keeping with the Stephen King allusions, Dreamcatcher.
