Suggestions: Hurricane Survivor

My good friend has a possible way to leave Puerto Rico within the next 2 weeks. She’s been w/o power and water since Maria hit - she’s missing part of her roof, has no front door, etc. A relative is trying to get her plane tkts to leave and stay with her on the mainland.
I would like to mail her a “make me smile” care package when she arrives.

‘Irma’ has a wicked sense of humor, and will tell you off if needed.
I’ve already ordered a Nasty Woman t-shirt (in Spanish, from TBS.com - proceeds go to PR relief charities). I also found a tiny flip chart to tell people her moods (again, she doesn’t suffer fools gladly), and a small sound effects machine that has silly sounds.

Please help with suggestions to make her smile, if only a little. She’s leaving all of her possessions behind (what hasn’t been ruined).
Again, it can’t be large items, since she’ll be staying with others.

Thanks so much.

I would go with some gift cards to replace things she needs. And possibly a Trump Troll doll take out some of her frustrations. They look really cute hung by the hair.

Or one of these t-shirts.

This, plus restaurant GCs.

Thanks for the suggestions - gift cards, especially to restaurants, is a great idea - this will give her a wonderful way to thank her hosts by taking them out.

Although I appreciate the anti-Trump ideas, I don’t know how her relatives voted, and wouldn’t want to upset them.

Please, keep the ideas coming - my friend is an ornery cuss, but I love her dearly and want to perk her up after all she’s been through.

Are there any other day to day items that are little luxuries that she might appreciate? I’m thinking things like bubble bath, a special shampoo, her favorite tea, a new mug, a t-shirt with her new town on it, a hair clip, her favorite chocolate or special treat. All things that she might not have now, won’t take up a lot space, but will either symbolize her new start, or help her on her way.

How about a gift certificate to a nice massage parlor/spa? They aren’t that cheap but you can often find good deals on Groupon or something similar for $50 or so for new customers. If I just had most of my life destroyed, I think I could use a good massage.

Great ideas - thanks so much! I can make up a nice basket of small goodies (why didn’t I think of that), and add in that spa idea from Shagnasty.

Thanks, everyone!
