summer concerts!!!

Myrr21, just FYI, the concert is tonight (Fri, 7/21). Since it’s only 5 miles from my house, how could I not go?
hightechburrito, where in the heck have you been? Please post and fill us in, come hang out more often. ;j

Did Fingers play? I heard that he and JB had parted ways.

L - The schedule I have says “Milwaukee Alpine Valley Music Center.” I just presumed that was in Milwaukee.

I’m just jealous that You get to see JB. I usually have to go to Memphis to see him, although he does sometimes come to Little Rock.

BTW, ten would be a good start.

And always remember how to do the Bear dance: Two sniffs, a snort, a flying turn, and a grunt

YEEEHAAAAA!!! Buffett was awesome!!!

Clint Black was there, played one of his tunes and played and sang with the band for the whole show.

It was a gorgeous day, and the tailgating before hand was a blast. We determined that the shark kite belonging to the guys next to us was male. No, I’m not telling you how we determined that.

And of course, the concert was incredible. All his classics, plus Southern Cross and some new ones.

Now I’m going to sleep until tomorrow night.

It’s all about the KROQ Weenie Roast. I went to it just this past June, and damn, was it sweet.

“I am formally declaring my undying hatred of anybody who is able to go to the Steely Dan concert. They were in MD last week–the weekend which I would have been in MD anyway, but my car broke down so I’m stuck in NY. Grrr, need…to see…Steely Dan…”

Well, Myrr, I guess this makes us mortal enemies.
I saw the Dan at Merriweather and they were absolutely fantastic.
They did several obscure songs in the first set (they opened with “Boson Rag”) and did a few off of 2vN. Everything sounded great.

As the encore began, the skies opened up and a hellacious thunder shower ensued (no prob for us since we had pavillion seats).

ANYway, I’m really NOT trying to rub it in and I wish you the best of luck in getting the chance to see them.

Quite a few this summer actually:

Jayhawks
Roger Waters
Metallica/Korn/Kid Rock
BB King/Buddy Guy/Susan Tedeschi
Jimmy Page and the Black Crowes/The Cult
The Who
Ben Harper
AC/DC / Slash’s Snakepit
Santana

possibly Neil Young, Pearl Jam and a couple more…
