Summer Digital Distribution Sales thread(2015)

Yeah, the ME3 ending was disappointing, but most of the game was pretty excellent, IMO. Especially if you go in expecting a crummy ending, the letdown probably isn’t as great as it presumably was for those who expected the ending to have the same level of quality as the rest of the series.

If you liked ME2, you’ll probably like ME3, but yeah, the ending is disappointing.

Having just purchased a 3DS a few months ago, I was excited to see this. So far, I’ve only played Steamworld Dig, but I’m really enjoying it. It’s like a quasi-Metroidvania where you explore a large subterranean space, dig, collect items, and fight enemies. I’ve already gotten enough enjoyment out of it to justify the price I paid for the entire bundle, so if any of the other games are good, it’s gravy.

I’m really hoping that they do another one of these soon, preferably with Shovel Knight.

I have no idea how good these games are, but steam is selling both Darksider games plus DLC for $12.

Thanks! Always wanted to play those. There’s still 20 games ahead of them in my Steam queue but I couldn’t pass on $10 for all three.

The ending wasn’t changed, it was ‘enhanced’ with more dialog choices, and made slightly less stupid in parts. The overall stupidity was still there.

Still a great series to try out if you’ve never played it.

IT’S HAPPENING

New Humble weekly is quite nice. A buck for Trine 2 complete (plus Lumino City & Hack 'n Slash) and currently only $4.04 for Marvellous Miss Take (plus A City Sleeps)

Resident Evil 5 is ~$3.85 from Funstock is with coupon code: JUL-MIDWEEK-RED25

Wasteland 2 is available from Nuuvem for about $13 without any VPN shenanigans.

Newegg has Life is Strange for the lowest price it’s been for the complete season, $8.80

Life is Strange: Episode 1 = $2 (60% off)
Life is Strange: Season Pass (Eps 2-5) = $6.80 (60% off)

The Witched 3 for $29.99 in Green Man Gaming VIP pricing. I saw the deal through IGN.

GMG is having their Summer Sale right now. A bunch of older/low profile D-list titles and bigger names that everyone already has. But maybe worth a look around.

Greenmangaming is having a summer sale I didn’t notice until today. In particular Elder Scrolls Online is $12 with discount code.

GMG is having an encore sale day.

New Humble Bundle is pretty good:

Outland Special Edition
Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes
Mercenary Kings

Beat the Average (currently $4.14) tier:
Endless Space Emperor Edition
The Stanley Parable
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II

Plus some dumb $18 tier you ain’t gonna buy.
