Godzilla was painful. Very very painful. I remember Starter Boyfriend and I watched it at the campus theater in '99 and talking about how stupid it was. The sixteen intervening years have only concentrated the stupidity and made it even more annoying.
I do like how every landmark in New York was destroyed *except *the Twin Towers.

Today was first day of school for Sunny-son. We got a call at 4:45 pm YESTERDAY telling us that he was switched to a new school. This was a good thing but very short notice. I had spent the week fighting with the district trying to find out which school he was going to, so it was good to know. Conversations included gems like, “we have no record of your son being in special education” (?!). Durned strange. I met with the head of special education last spring, he has a 504, a testing plan, we’re switching to an IEP, etc, etc. Anyhoo…
So new school today and first signs are very encouraging. Finger, toes and everything else crossed. Or I’ll be borrowing the spiders.
Spousal unit broke his windshield yesterday - his own fault - he was screwing around with it. So he had to go to the dealer for a replacement. The new one is much nicer than the aftermarket version he had, but probably more $$$ - I didn’t ask.
Apple cake was yum - in fact, I had some just now for breakfast. I finished the shawl last night, and I’ll start another tonight. All of the stuff I ordered for my trip has come in, so yay! And today I turn in the modem that connects the phone and get a regular modem that’ll cost less per month. Stoopit metrocast won’t let us use our own modem, which I would have bought if I could have. Oh well, it’s just $5/month and if it dies, they owe us one, so there’s that.
It’s mid-50s at the moment - I’m actually chilly! We might see 80 today, so I may not have to close up the house again. We shall see. I hope to get some laundry done - **FCD **has been going thru t-shirts like crazy. Working in his shop is apparently a sweaty evolution.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffienated, and dressed even so no YAWNS. ‘Tis <snerk> 69! <snerk> Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 95 for the day and low (for around heah anyways) humidity even. Why am I up and dressed on a day off you ask ? Ima go meet OYKW for brekkie in a little while at IHOP just cause. I am wearin’ shorts and a tshirt because I can. After that, who knows. I might come back to da cave and go back to sleep. Or not. It’s a willy-nilly day for da bear!

It’s in the 50s so nice and cool.
I’m postponing my trip to the ocean, I will either drive myself down later today or I will ride down with my friends husband tomorrow morning.
She told me a trick to try with my printer, if that doesn’t work then it’s off to office depot for the color ink. I guess I should order some kodak ink today too. The kodak printer is much better than the epsom.
Sah-dog only got me up once, at 3:30, however I’ve been up since then. Just as well I’ll be here a bit longer, this way I can keep an eye on him. I’m cleaned up and read to go out but now I’ll wait and go get the ink after irk.
Sorry I dumped on y’all- my last nerves are being plucked.

I did a marathon t-shirt cutting session yesterday (making more “tarn” for future potholders and coasters, possibly another rug). My arms and wrists are paying the price today. I did get about five shirts cut and rolled into balls and I trimmed down some sleeves into something I can use, so I was productive. I’ll wait a couple of days before I tackle the rest in the bag.
Howdy Y’all! After we had brekkie, OYKW headed for irk and I made a stop by :eek: Wally*World :eek: bein’ as I was right there and all. Anywho I got some foodstuffs and now it’s all put away. I think I shall commence mowage in a bit bein’ as it’s relatively coolish and dry out.
I got some nice lookin’ ribeye steaks at :eek: Wally*World :eek: and have two of ‘em marinatin’ for dindin tonight. Two more are in the fridge to be marinated on Sunday as Moanday will be men’s night over to the church house. I feel so efficient!

Sari, if you can’t come in here and vent, where can you? I have plenty of ninja spiders in training so just shout up if you need a box sent over your way.
Yesterday was a bit of a 'mare one way or another. I’m trying to do a job that isn’t necessarily my responsibility but someone has to do it but the person who should do it is off sick for two weeks, maybe longer. If it doesn’t get done, it will hold me up tremendously when I get back from my holiday so I need something sorted out. Can I get answers out of people? Can I? Bah! I should have had yesterday’s Sri Lankan trooper on a piece of elastic so he could have just kept bopping someone in the face until they answered the question.
Today has been better but that’s because it’s Friday and I have ceased to care. Not a single rat’s ass will be given today, which will no doubt make the rat population very happy.
I don’t know how anyone can gather up the courage to drive a car. I tried driving by myself for the very first time this morning, and had 2 panic attacks on the way to my destination. Oh well, at least I didn’t panic on the way home…
That just sucks, Bobbio. I hope this is the last surgery and I hope that this time, there aren’t any issues.
I’m waiting to hear how much my husband’s car will cost for repair. We were supposed to get a final number yesterday, but it didn’t happen. Last we heard, we were looking at around three grand. That’s three grand I really don’t happen to have sitting around, so I will have to tap our line of credit, and that makes me very unhappy. Money that was supposed to have arrived from some closed accounts of MiL’s has not yet arrived and it was what we were counting on to pay this bill. The fact that the it should have been here two weeks ago, but because the investment dude screwed up, makes me extremely irritated.
There’s more, so much more, but I’m going to leave it at that. I need a vacation from my life, not just work.

Home from erranding. New modem is installed and working - yay! **FCD **bought some stuff he needs to finish some electrical work on his bike. I’m thinking about mowing, but not thinking too hard. Maybe tomorrow…

Howdy Y’all! Da bear has been productive! Mowage of OYKW’s and da cave yahd has occured. I made a sallit for tonight’s dindin and baked up some N.O.T. Those are now twice baked N.O.T., two for tonight and six more coolin’ down for a bit before they go into the freezer for later. I have also showered, had a sammich and am enjoyin’ a refreshin’ glass of strawberry-lemonade as I post. Go Me! The rest of the day shall be frittered cause well, I deserve to fritter.
I thought even in Canada you needed a driver’s license. If this was the very first time you drove and nobody got hurt or property damaged, you’re a natural-born driver.

I’ve done my weekly necessity shopping and I even :eek::eek:washed Polly Subaru:eek::eek: again. I’ve decided to make this a monthly thing because my car looks better as a Pretty Polly.
There was knackwurst on sale at Aldi today, so I picked up a pack and a jar of sauerkraut. I’m letting my German side make lunch today. 
I have my license. I took driving lessons and passed the final exam somehow. It’s just that even while taking lessons, I never practiced very much, and haven’t driven all that much since getting my license, and it was always with other people in the car.
