So since the trip is postponed until tomorrow I waited until noonish to go to Home Depot
I bought the color ink cartridges
I put in the blue and then it said the yellow was low so I put in the yellow and it said the pink was low
So now I have all brand new ink cartridges and it still won’t print
Oh wait a minute - it is printing - only it is so light you can barely see it
So we do the print test page, clean heads, print test page, clean heads 4-5 times and guess what
all my ink cartridges are low and need to be replaced
I will never ever buy an epsom printer again
take it from me don’t even bother
I tried opening the file on my phone I have a stylus to sign with but that isn’t working either
So now the nice people at Hoe depot are going to print the entire package for me for 10 cents a page.
Then after I get everything home and filled out and signed I get to go through the joys of scanning
No interview call back/email today They said they’d probably let me know by the end today, hopefully they’re just running late, but that’s never a good sign.
Also no work yet for this weekend. It would be quite nice to get to go to my friend’s games night tomorrow, but it would also be nice to be able to pay the rent this month, y’know?
Homemade (and largely home grown) mixed vegetable curry for dindin, with a glass of the blackberry booze bottled yesterday. Hopefully this will give me the incentive to start off this year’s wine batch. I picked all the berries, and got all the other stuff, it’s just getting round to it now.
Howdy Y’all! Dindin has been ingested. Dang good! Steak, twiced baked N.O.T., fresh corn on the cob, sallit, and cheesey bread. We’s stuffded. There’s ice cream and/or watermelon for later if desired. Right now I cannot imagine me havin’ a desire. I done good!
Jim kinda hard to know what to say. Yay for sellin’ the bike and at the same time I know it was a kinda sad thing.
My daughter will be singing in the cast chorus for Disney’s Candlelight Processional this year! YAY!! She sang a couple of times when her high school chorus was selected to perform, so now she’ll be one of the pros! Dat’s my girl!!

When we first saw Gordon Ramsay shilling for Walmart’s steak, we thought “Yeah, right…” then we tried it. Better and cheaper than the grocery store. Sadly, the Walmart near us now doesn’t have fresh foods.
Our new driver licenses came today. Complicated little things! Barcodes, magstripes, engraved numbers, etc. And bears. No lions or tigers. I was looking at mine, and I told DH that there were bears on our new licenses. He thought I was referring to us. Yes, we may be bears, but there’s also a small, non-obvious bear, sort of like the frog on an Old Style beer can.
We has the bus depot downtown that has a few hookers outside, but I don’t believe we have an entire depot just for ho’s in this state. That. Is. Awesome! :o
I grew up in Florida, so summer = the beach, thunderstorms in the afternoon, pool (mine and my friends’), and camp. Also sweating like crazy because my mom isn’t hot until it’s 97F inside the house and “you don’t need air conditioning, just open the window and turn on the ceiling fans, and get cross-ventilation”. Yeah, that hot, humid air moving through the house helps lots.
(Now we know why I live in New England. Shorter period of hot, humid air.)
My summer songs are anything by Van Halen. Played constantly by people on Daytona Beach when I was a kid.
I’d also wait for the fall issue of Seventeen! And then realize all the fall clothes were sweaters and corduroys, which I’d be able to wear maybe one day a year. Again, another reason to move to New England.
Emily,
I learned to drive on a stadium parking lot, and then my Father took me onto the freeway, regretting it.
What frightens you?
Generally, if you pay attention to the traffic rules and assume no one else will, you will survive.
My back hurts like hell, despite vicodin, however one spells it.
I shall try to sleep.
Emily, I learned to drive in a forty acre field in a stake bed farm truck with no power steering. You’ll do fin in your modern car with a little practice.
bobbio, sorry you have to go under the knife again.
I’m safely esconced in my childhood room now after driving all day (grrrr…road construction in Kentucky). Supper has been prepared , ingested and cleaned up, the folks’pooch has been bathed and two hours of polka music reviewed. I’s tahred!
Welcome to our playground, Wabbit! (good one, Red!!) We lived in Jacksonville for too many years, and my daughter is teaching in Orlando now and working part time at Disney. If I never have to go to the Sunshine state again, I can die happy, but the inlaws live in Ocala, so we’ll be heading south for Thanksgiving. rah.
Cell phone is linked to a pair of bluetooth handsets, so we have 3 “extensions” for the home phone. None in the bedroom any longer, and the basement phone, which was hardwired, no longer works. But that’s fine. The 3 we have are in the places we used them most anyway. So yay!
I’ve got a crabber to see at 11, unless someone else comes in earlier or another returns late enough that I can get 2 in one day. We shall see. **FCD **is going to clean up his bike, then head down the the Bike Fest at the Fairgrounds. I’ll go down there after I’m done with crabbers, tho it kills me that it’ll cost $15 to walk around looking at bikes (boring) and listening to country music (ick) - at least the weather is nice.
I didn’t do laundry yesterday, so I definitely need to get a couple of loads in today. Forward, then!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffienated, and brekkied. 'Tis 67 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 96 for the day. Gonna get hawt!
Soon I shall go purtify (OYKW is purtifyin’ as I post) and then we’re gonna go hit the local farmer’s market. I want a watermelon, cantaloupe (can’t find my ladder), and we’ll see what kinda veggies are there. I’d like to get a few pounds of butterbeans to shell and put in the freezer. Green beans would be nice too. Also, I foresee some cee-mint pond time. I have some burgers made up for dindin tonight. Go Me!
Showered, dressed, and ready to go. First load of laundry is washing and **FCD **is polishing his bike for the show this afternoon. There will be one more load to be washed before I go.
I’ll need to leave in about 2 hours to meet my crabber - he wasn’t on our list last year and I’ve never been to the particular boat ramp, but I’ve got directions, so there’s that. I hope he’s the only one - I don’t want to do 2 today. I’s lazeeee!
I probably should empty the dishwasher that I ran last night… I really should…
