Supper was good. I want ice cream. We don’t have any ice cream. I see a trip to DQ in our near future.
Meanwhile, I’ll knit and recline. MWAH!!

MissRed, we spent a year at Interlochen (1962-63); my parents were on the staff of the initial year of the Interlochen Arts Academy. My Mom taught piano and organ (I think organ, not certain on that), my Dad taught history and english, I think. At the end of the first year, my Mom’s contract was extended, Dad’s was not. We moved to Delaware then.
FCM, yes, the lakes are cooler, Lake Superior is really chilly, but Michigan was okay enough for me to learn to swim in.
Gotti, as much as I love glitter glue, the amount your friend has is way too much! LOL
My daughter and I had to go shopping at Walmart today, and it’s the day before school starts here. Fortunately, the grocery part of the store wasn’t too badly mobbed, although I did not go near the school supplies area nor the clothing/shoe departments. I’m sure there were tons of folks there. And yes, some of them are in some mighty strange outfits, plus you see tattoos in places you’d never imagined before. LOL
So sad about Robin Williams death; sometimes, antidepressant don’t do all that we would want or need them to do. May he RIP, he will certainly be sorely missed.

I wondered why the sidewalks in the Castro District were covered in glitter when I visited. Now I know.
Seriously, folks, there is glitter *embedded *in the concrete over there.

Yeah, you don’t want to be nearby when a drag queen sneezes.
Sean, glitter ain’t bad on strippers. 3 months pregnant?
gotti, never seen a drag queen sneeze. But the ones here aren’t overly glittery.
cough sniffle I hope tonight won’t be the third night in a row with very little sleep. Sadness and anxiety don’t help either. Maybe that Bob Marley drink thingy will help.
“Bob Marley drink”?:dubious:
It’s called “Marley’s Mellow Mood.”
:dubious::dubious:
I didn’t make it up. hah
In any case, I don’t know how much sleep I’ll get tonight now that my nose is blocked. And now that there’s a large buzzing insect in my room that I can hear but not see. Damn me.
Gordie eats bugs.
Up too early again.
This time is was the dog’s bladder, not mine.
Looks like the rain finally stopped so I hope all y’all who are wanting it get some.
Not much going on today. I expect to hear back if the seller agrees too fix the things I want fixed. Then we can start moving forward with the mortgage.
If everything goes as planned 37 more days til closing.
Up, caffeinated, off to work. Truck day at another store.
Taz woke us both today - he was in the bathroom (great acoustics) making this sound that resembled “No… No… No…” - he was on the sink waiting for someone to turn the water on so he could drink. So I’m up - after all that racket, no way I could go back to bed. FCD, on the other hand, is still crashed. He had to stay up till midnight to monitor something in his paint room, so he’ll sleep a few more hours. I’m breakfasting. Life is good, I guess.
I’ve got 3 afghans that need to be washed and packed in a big plastic bag. I started working on a shawl last night because those go fast and I don’t have a lot of time before departure. We did go to DQ for dessert - first time we went there that we didn’t encounter a long line - guess the honeymoon is over??
We’re expecting a mostly sunny day today with below average temps - yay! No idea what I’ll do - I know we’ll go to the gym first thing, and we need to run by CVS and Food Lion on the way home. Beyond that, we’ll wing it.
Happy Wednesday!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ YAWN 'Tis 73 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 93 for the day. All that rain we were promised never happened. The weather PTB say no rain for the next four days. Reckon that means I should have an umbrella handy, based on the accuracy of the forecast lately. :dubious:
Midget hope the cough/cold is better soonest.
Ok that’s all I got. Need more caffiene and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence. Le Sigh.
Happy Hump Day Y’all!
I got a more decent sleep last night than the past few nights, though it would’ve been nice if it had been longer.
My nose is blocked pretty good.
Happy Hump Day.
I finally was able to go back to sleep.
It’s bright and sunny outside, although my phone says it’s cloudy. It’s supposed to be in the low 80s today, August should be hotter but I’m not complaining.
Nothing special on the agenda for today.
I had an apple danish for breakfast. I’m surprised it was still there. I always order a tray of mixed danish with the grocery delivery, the only kind I like is apple. Sah-son must be leaving it for me, or maybe he didn’t get around to eating it yet. I like the almond danish but every time I eat one my lips and tongue go numb. I don’t know why because I can eat almonds with no problem.
I wish I knew what all I have up in the attic as far as household stuff goes. I’ve been pricing stuff online for the house and I’m not sure what all I need. However I don’t wonder enough to get up into the attic to find out. Going into the attic involves cleaning out an entire closet to open the doors that give access to the attic. Then you have to be careful where you walk because only part of the attic is floored and you can’t stand upright except in the very center.
My house will have a normal attic with real stairs, no cleaning out closets, no pull down ladders, you can stand up and there is a real floor. No falling through if you lose your balance.
I still remember the day I heard a crunch from over head and saw my fathers foot coming through the ceiling.
It only took a solid dang week but the new person I enrolled last week finally, finally, finally brought in the one piece of information needed to complete the app so’s it can be sent off to TPTB. I consider that a victory. Hey, I calls 'em when I sees 'em.
Drink? I thought that was more a ------- green leafy substance. Not that I’ve done anything like that personally; I just read about it. In college.
