Summertime and the living is sleazy in the MMP

Quite possibly.
You never know

There was a reason I was called ‘The Crazy White Bitch - Leave Her Alone’ when I lived in the city.
I could tell you stories.

BigKitty I agree. Very cruel.

Doggie I hope your power comes back soon.

Propane. Trust me; I’ve met Doggio and I am positive he has gas. :smack:

Ahhhhh, little do you suspect our evil plot -------- we’ve only just begun ---------

Turn left at your nearest Clinton education bill?

GRRRRR!!!

Back to the Heavy Metal station to get rid of the earworm.

This made me LOL!

It’s muggy and icky already, and it’ll just get muggier and ickier before I can get outside to mow. My main concern is to take care of the ditch and the hill areas - the push-mower regions. If there’s still time, I can break out the riding mower, but if not, that can be done even in the hottest weather. OK, technically, so can the push mowing, but I don’t wanna!!! We need a goat.

Amazingly, Taz didn’t jump on our door once last night. I did let him drink in the bathroom before we went to bed - maybe that satisfied him till this morning. Anyway, yay for mostly uninterrupted sleep. I woke from a weird dream to find myself off my pillow and kinda tangled up, but after resettling, I fell back to sleep. I’d have still liked another hour or so, but I’ll deal.

Last night, I started working on an afghan that someone started and donated half-finished to the AARP. There’s no pattern, so I had to figure out the hook size (second try was the right one.) I have no idea what the originator had in mind, but I’m going to do it my way. It’s red - I’ll dig thru my stash for a contrasting color to finish it as I envision.

There are 5 completed pieces (rectangles) of 60 rows each. I didn’t have to count them all because they’re all full of stitch markers. Dunno what I’m going to do with all of them - I had plenty of my own to begin with. I’ll deal with that when I’m done. I’ll also be glad to finish this and toss it in the washer - it reeks of perfume!! It appears that whoever started making this thing liked to bathe in the stuff. ugh.

So, mowage and knittage shall be my day.

Happy Wednesday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 74 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 94 and hyoooooooooomid for the day. Summer hath returned. This will be a good day to stay in air conditionin’ as opposed to stayin’ in an air conditioner.

I shall travel over to the extreme west forty first thing this mornin’ to enroll three new folks in three different counties. This shall constitute my day today. On the plus side I get to leave from da cave so there’s that.

Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, alas and alack, one must commence purtification for irk.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

Dukey butt

Up, caffeinated, off to work. I got power back after 11 last night. But my microwave died.

Y’all got electricity in 1971?:dubious:

Spidey, yeah trying to type in the dark with a phone with otter corrupt is a load of shirt.

sari, remind me never to irk you. But if Flytrap irks you, please post the YouTube link here.

Nice song; mebbe after a couple of years of 'lectricity they’ll be able to add some words.
I’m not saying it was hoomid this morning, but I took one shower & got dried three times.

I did a drive-by funeral this morning; red fox (one d, one x) - at the middle-of-the-road cemetery. :frowning: (No, I didn’t hit it, it was, ummm, playing possum in the opposite lane when I pulled out.)

Karen Carpenter is reputedly One Of The Best Drummers To Have Ever Played[sup]tm[/sup].

For the life of me, I cannot imagine her going up against John Bonham, Keith Moon, or even Ringo…

No, you don’t wanna know.

The push mowing is done. I’m taking a break to cool down and rehydrate - it’s brutal out there! I brought in a clip-on fan from the garage and it’s aimed right at me - definitely helps!

Shortly, I’ll saddle up ol’ John Deere and finish the yard. At least riding is relatively easy, except when I have to keep dismounting to clear branches. Yeah, I could do that first, but I donwanna. :stuck_out_tongue:

And at the end of mowage, a shower awaits! Ah, bliss!!

blurf

Karen Carpenter is the only drummer I can’t stand. She does not deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as Ringo, which is why I made this two sentences.

Did she play for Captain and Tennille?

Happy Hump Day!

It’s cloudy and humid outside.
I’m a bit chilly but I’m turning the AC on because the dog is having trouble breathing.

Doggio I doubt you could ever irk me.

I always wondered about the Karen Carpenter being such a good drummer myself, but I’m not a music expert.
I just know what I like and sappy sweet pop music grates on my ears.

It is bad for my teeth.

Mowage is done! I’m clean and dressed reasonably to be seen in public. Not that I intend to go anywhere, but I could if I wanted to. I also swapped out the bath towels (like I should have done 3 days ago!) and put pink stuff on my poison spots. And I cleaned the cat box. I’ve got some time to kill before lunch.

The dilemma is: lunch in or lunch out? I don’t feel like preparing anything but I don’t feel like going anywhere. I need a Lunch Fairy to magically appear with exactly what I want for lunch, even tho I have no idea what i want. Why must life be so hard??

<sigh>
