And the revolution may just be close to you on some rainy day or Monday. When it does happen, I’m on top of the world!!! <insert evil laugh here>
I can imagine even ME beating Ringo and other than a short stint with a majorette group my other experience playing drums was NEVER! For a really great drummer you have to look beyond pop music and look at Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, or MAYBE Louie Bellson although I never thought much of him.
Howdy from large and in charge downtown Cuthbert, Jawja, capitol of Randolph County, Jawja! I just can’t help but brag about my exotic travels. I am havin’ a pretty good N.O.L. at a cafe on the town square, which is really more of a circle. I am havin’ cheese ravioli in a really good meat sauce. The sauce lives up to its name. It’s a MEAT sauce!
When I finish N.O.L., I shall head on down to large and in charge Edison, Jawja, the largest town but not the capitol of Calhoun County. After that, da cave!
Ahem.
Swampy, would it kill you to write Mom once and a while, already?
Don’t put yourself out. She will just sit in the dark, and depend upon total strangers for a little conversation now and then. She knows you have many important things to do, like read magazines and watch the grass grow.
:dubious:
My clarinet teacher said I could send him a postcard from anywhere I go, and so I said to him, “I’m going downtown today. Should I send you a postcard from there?”
I went grocery shopping today but was unable to get everything on my list. Ah well.
I have not read but will. I took Lucky Louie to the new vet on Monday. He took blood for testing and ordered some staging tests on the tumor that was removed a few weeks ago. Well I just had a call this morning that the blood test to see if these cancer cells are in his blood is NEGATIVE!!! IT IS GOOD NEWS. WHEW. Still waiting on more results but it is a bit of good news.
We are going through accreditation at irk so I have a whole list of things to get together in the next couple of weeks. Always something. Still crazy busy and cannot get a break. I was able to hire a girl (16 yr of age) to start working on Saturday’s so that is good news. Maybe I can get back to having my entire weekends off.
On the weather front is is HOT. We need rain desperately. The grass crunches when one walks on it. It is our rainy season since June 1st and we’ve had maybe 10 minutes worth of rain. Come on rain.
Good news indeed, Buttercup.
We should have heard from Swampy by now.
I hope he didn’t do anything rash. I may have laid on the guilt too much, he isn’t Jewish and doesn’t have to deal with that sort of thing as much.
Oh well, whatever.
You may be able to get Chinese delivery where you are, but not around here in my boonies. And for the pizza place I like, there’s a minimum $15 order for delivery. I wasn’t that hungry!
Still no rain, dagnabbit! And it doesn’t look like we’ll get any - it seems to fizzle away before it reaches our county. Oh well…
No idea what we’re going to have for supper. **FCD **is no help - no ideas or suggestions from him. Dinner Fairy needs to get her butt in gear!!!
I just got an email from someone apparently so desperate for people to partake of a webinar that they promise to have two large pepperoni pizzas delivered to the office of anyone who registers and views the presentation.
If I wasn’t going to be on the road on the date of said webinar, I’d consider it, but I’ll be somewhere around Utah or Nevada.
Not a molecule of rain here either. DH is getting crabby with our lawn being the approximate color of a paper grocery sack.
Dindin has been ingested. We have biiiiiiiiig tstorms rollin’ through with copious rain. Bring it on, I say! I likes me some sleepin’ with tstorms. Hopefully it will last well into the night.
We decided to let Cracker Barrel feed us. **FCD **had breakfast and I had chicken-n-dumplins.
Now we’re home. I’ve having to unmake the afghan rectangles I thought I could just edge and assemble. when I looked closer, they were more like trapezoids - wider when they started and gradually getting narrower. Rather than try to fit them together, I’m just undoing them and reknitting them into a one-piece afghan. I hate sewing pieces together anyway. So that’s my plan for the evening.
