damn, what a beautiful album…
i’ve been listening to it non-stop for weeks.
this is my first kozelek experience. in the past, people always told me i should check out red house painters, but for some reason i resisted.
what should i get next?
Sun Kil Moon is great, but I’d definitely check out Red House Painters. That’s Kozelek’s best material, period. I suggest picking up the “retrospective” for a great introduction - think of it as a “greatest hits.” It has the single best breakup song ever written, “Katy Song,” and a bunch of magnificent, life-changing stuff like “grace cathedral park.”
Get it in time for fall, because it’s the PERFECT fall music.
