I am doing work around the house today while listening to music.
I need someone to select an album for me to listen to. I will do so and report back with a brief review.
NOTE: It must be available on Spotify.

Hot August Night would be a fun change of pace.
Oddly enough Brother Love’s Traveling Salvation Show from that album just played on my playlist.
Good choice. Hot August Night it is.
I will check in later for the next suggestion.
mmm
I don’t think you want my recommendation.
Can you get Time by Electric Light Orchestra? It’s either real or it’s a dream; there’s nothing that is in between.
Marquee Moon by Television
Violent Femmes by Violent Femmes
ETA: Those are my two favorite house cleaning albums.
David and David, Boomtown. One of the best beginning to end albums ever made. EVER MADE!
Come to find out the original 1972 Hot August Night, which I like very much, is not available on Spotify.
There is the NYC version recorded in 2008 that is not doing it for me. I can do without hearing crap like ‘Love on the Rocks’ and ‘You Don’t Bring Me Flowers’.
Not a huge ELO fan, but I see that Spotify has ‘Time’ so I will give it a listen.
And Panache, you might be surprised by what I like. Go ahead, suggest and I will listen.
mmm
For getting work done, I suggest Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsystem. Many genres apart from Hot August Night, so this might be a long shot.
Alan Parsons, Turn of a Friendly Card.
Abbey Road?
Unfinished Music No. 2: Life with the Lions - John Lennon and Yoko Ono
“Recall The Beginning…A Journey From Eden” by Steve Miller
Excellent choices!
In light of the news that apparently **Prince’s **music is available on Spotify, I would have to recommend Sign O’ The Times, a double album.
Lots of ideas for albums that are good from beginning to end:
Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd
Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
Hotel California by The Eagles
Our Mother Electricity by All Them Witches
Violator by Depeche Mode
At Folsum Prison by Johnny Cash
Second Helping by Lynyrd Skynyrd
Mezzanie by Massive Attack
The Fragile by Nine Inch Nails
O Brother Where Art Thou? soundtrack
Doolittle - Pixies
40 oz. to Freedom - Sublime
ELI AND THE THIRTEENTH CONFESSION, Laura Nyro, 1968.
My personal favorite is Nyro’s NEW YORK TENDABERRY (1969), but that’s kinda dark for working around the house. ELI will make your ears very happy.
Bob Dylan: Pat Garrett And Billy The Kid
The Last Waltz - The Band
On Spotify: The Last Waltz - Album by The Band | Spotify
Totally safe choice: SO - Peter Gabriel
Better album, but likely to appeal to only 5% of random listeners: “Dead Heart in a Dead World” - Nevermore.
Kansas, Song for America
Rush, Subdivisions. Also, 2112.
ETA: Dunno 'bout the Spotify-ibility of these. But my recommendations nonetheless.
