My sister-in-law won a trip to Sun Valley but she can’t go, so my husband and I are going instead (private plane, hotel, rental car, the works). She got this thing through our Land Rover dealer, so I hope it’s not totally cheesy…
So, just what does one do for 4 days in Sun Valley in the summer? My guess would be hiking, biking, riding, etc, but does anyone have first-hand info on food, recreation, or other fun stuff?
Thanks for the help, we’re leaving next Friday!
Oh, and did I mention that we AREN’T taking the toddler? Woo hoo!
I used to live in the area, and if you have a rental car, use one of those days and head on over to Stanley for a day or a half day. Its not that long of a drive, and it has some of the most beautiful scenery in Idaho (imho). Also, see if you can arrange for a rafting trip. Most of the rivers in that area are fairly sedate, but still provide for fun.

We have a car, so I was planning to do a little driving. Stanley was mentioned in some stuff I read, as was Hailey. Thanks for the info. I notice a lot of river rafting companies in the area, maybe we’ll do that. Sure seems to be a lot of hunting, too. Don’t think so!
Thanks for the food tip Smeghead, I can’t stand mediocre food!
Kind of hard to tell from my description, but it’s actually a pretty upscale type of place. Just so you know. Don’t want you showing up in shorts and tank tops…
