I find it hard to believe all this stuff is actually happening on the field at the Super Bowl. Forests of sugar cane, hundreds of dancers, etc. Seems almost like AI.
The linemen/women seem like something out of Cirque Du Soleil.

The overhead shot at the beginning was not live but everything else was on the field. They literally showed the sugarcane being set up beforehand…
Damn, that was a halftime show. Didn’t know one song or understand one word, but it was fun!

OK, I really liked the whole halftime show scene. Well staged, excellent guest spots. A few PR “insider” gags (e.g. the power lines) and nothing that is not in his regular act. Basically his current tour show, compressed into bits and pieces of his hits. Was fun.

It looks like, though I may be incorrect, that this is the third Super Bowl which reached halftime without a touchdown being scored. The others were IX (Pittsburgh led Minnesota 2-0) and LIII (Patriots and Rams tied 3-3).

I saw some of the Bad Bunny stuff, but I don’t really get what makes it…well, even all that notable. Certainly better than Kid Rock or whatever else was happening as counter-programming.

And to be honest I recall “I don’t h understand the words” being a complaint from the last 3 or 4 halftime shows. So the lyrics were inconsequential.

My brother tells me that Twitter thinks the kid he gave the Grammy to was the little boy with the blue hat from the ICE raids. We shall see..
