Super Bowl XLVII Thread

Was pretty awesome overall. Being not a fan for either team, I was engrossed with the game so it was a win.

As the announcers just pointed out, the rules change entirely when you get towards the end of a close game. It’s dumb.

Ravens should try to take a safety on the punt. EDIT: Nevermind, not with 11 seconds left. If they’d snapped the ball instead of calling timeout, it would’ve made more sense. RE-EDIT: Nope, they did it! Killed 7 seconds, and now San Fran gets one play.

Fools! It was obviously the NWO.

All of the refs with the, ah, balls to call something there were held out from working this game due to lingering bitterness over the lockout. /conspiracy

Note to Jim Harbaugh: don’t turn the ball over, don’t commit costly penalties, and call better plays, and you won’t be left bitching about officiating.

Ball was in the air, easy PI call.

I can’t believe the 49ers weren’t set up for a punt block there.

Holy…

Fair catch it & try a long FG attempt

I can’t stand the sight of ray lewis

Akers shot at redemption.

Brilliant

Did anyone else see the SF guy practically tackled while he tried to chase the punter?

So, does SF fair catch it and try the free kick in response?

WELP

Would have been the same outcome.

Well, I hate the Ravens, so that sucks, but at least it became a very entertaining game.

Chin up, Niners…you made a hell of a game of it, and now you get to do what you do best – spend a year whining about how you were the better team and you clearly should have won.

It’s a shame that a great game will be marred by the subjectivity of the refs on the 4th and goal pass play. Congrats to Baltimore on the victory.
