I tried Tapatalk once. That piece of junk was the last straw that led to my First Rule of Mobile Apps:
NEVER allow an app on your device that has the word “tap” in its name.
I like Tapatalk. It works really well with this forum, and well enough with other forums i visit. I use an old version (4.9.5) and don’t let it update itself, because version 5 got really annoying. I turned the sig off once and it has stayed off.
I finally broke down and downloaded it last week and … I actually like it on my mobile/tablet devices. Had to dig through the menus to turn off the signature the OP is complaining about after I noticed my first post had it, but it works really well on my iPad and, dare I say, I do prefer it to my browser’s access. It takes a few minutes/hours to get used to it, but it’s good.

You can set it to say whatever you want (including nothing at all). The note people have been complaining about is just the default, but it could certainly be set to say

I posted this in ATMB as well, but for fellow Tapatalk users, it does not seem to have recovered completely after the crash. A lot of the functions are not working, like the “Subscribed” tab or replying to threads.
Agreed. I just logged in on my computer to see if the site was down again.
For some reason I default in my head to calling it Slapafuk. None of the way it has functioned recently makes me want to turn off that default.
(Its still kind of cool as an app for READING the Dope. Check out my join date vs post count. I read vastly more than I have ever posted.)
