Supernatural 10/14: Defending Your Life

Dean feels guilty, Osiris is killing people, and somehow, Jo is back.

Thanks for the spoilers in the OP, by the way.

A very weird episodes so far. It just kind of stopped when Dean’s trial began. Definitely a contemplative episode of the show, but not super compelling.

What spoilers? That was just episode info from the CW site.

I was hoping to see Ellen too, but maybe she wasn’t available.

It was ok - but we know that Dean feels guilty. Dean has felt guilty for a long time. And the way they’re setting up his killing Amy as a major problem between the two isn’t working for me.
(I also never liked Jo, I don’t really care that they brought her back.)

Spoilers for the trailer for next week Was that Charisma Carpenter?

Yes, and:

James Marsters

Pretty cool, right?

I’m kinda surprised that Joss Whedon hasn’t written or directed an episode of Supernatural yet. The day is surely coming!

As far as Dean’s guilt over killing Amy; I don’t think he feels guilt about the killing itself; Dean was right, after all. She killed, even if it was to save her son, and if her son was endangered again, she would most likely kill again. Granted, he could have given her the same kind of leeway that he gave to Lenore the cattle-drinking vampire, but Lenore hadn’t fallen off the wagon, while Amy did. Instead, Dean’s guilt likely is a result of lying to Sam about the whole affair, and sooner or later he’ll confess it to Sam, I’m sure.

Well, I’m happy, anyway. I’ve always had a soft spot for Jo.

For heaven’s sakes, it’s not a spoiler to say Charisma Carpenter and James Marsters from Buffy and Angel guest star in the next episode. That doesn’t give a single plot point away so stop being paranoid and silly.

On another board I participate in, both talking about guest stars for upcoming episodes and talking about anything in the trailer or promos are considered spoilers.
I prefer to err on the side of caution when it comes to spoiling the experience for someone else.

Does anybody know if Misha Collins is in a play or some other time consuming non-Supernatural project? There’s nothing listed on imdb for him but he’s a fan favorite so I doubt they let him go. I think he will be making occasional guest appearances (Castiel seems to have been killed the last time but that’s never stopped them from bringing back anybody- hell, Castiel’s been killed at least twice.)

I honestly thought that everyone stuck around long enough at the end of each ep to watch the scenes from the next ep.

One of the worst episodes ever, IMO. But being able to see a bit more footage of Jewel Staite partly makes up for it.

I don’t think that the Canadian stations get the scenes from the next ep at the end.

No, we don’t, usually, but I would watch them if I could, so don’t worry about it on my behalf.

Dean, just spit it out, already. You and Sammy keeping secrets from each other only lasts a week or two, no matter what the secret is.

I do like the new, guilt-free Sammy, though. It makes me wonder what awful thing is going to happen to him next, though.

And not everyone reads the synopsis and learns old characters are returning.
