Wow, best one of the season so far.
I love watching Sam without a soul and Dean trying to tell him how to feel.
I love Dean microwaving the fairy(or whatever it is).
I love the X-files credits.
This is a great one.
Did they explain who the guy was who kept following Dean and beat him up in jail? Was he another tall Leprechaun?
I agree; best of the season so far. I was surprised to finding myself liking RoboSam more and more. It’s like he’s filling for Castiel as the comically clueless character this season. Cracked up at Dean fleeing yellng UFO, and later his “hate crime” incident. I take it fake UFO guy was Oberon, king of the Fairies/Alpha Fairy.
“They were grabby, incandescant douchebags, goodnight!” heheehe
“Empathy, Sam! Empathy!”
Meanwhile, Sam orders another drink.
“FIGHT THE FAIRIES!”

Did they ever explain why the fairies returned Dean? Or what was up with the menacing fairy following Dean around and beating him up?
I assumed he was a redcap, what with his red cap and all. The episode had a decent selection of sidhe: a leprechaun, a few brownies, a pixie of some sort, and the aforementioned redcap - always one of my favorite fair folk.
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that thought “Redcap!” when the Fairy theme was revealed.
Oh, and: “Nipples??”
Dean said he started slashing and shooting and that the abductors seemed surprised, that no one had fought back before. Dean’s knife is likely silver, and he likely loads iron rounds in his gun, so he probably took down some Fae Folk and they cut their losses. That’s what they get for abducting a hunter, I guess…
I also loved this episode. One of my favorite scenes was when Dean was explaining to Sam the inappropriateness of having sex should Dean go missing. Sam kept asking questions like “How long do I wait?” and “What if there’s nothing I can do?”
Also the fight scene mirroring Sam’s fight with fairy and Dean’s with “redcap” was really cute.
Fairies sent Dean back because he had knife/gun (not sure of the weapon) but instead of being in shock like other abductees, he was fighting tooth and nail so they decided he wasn’t worth the trouble.
Can’t forget the scene with Dean fighting with the “little person” DA calling him a fairy and getting arrested. Hilarious.
