Nice way to end a busy week. 
Just poured myself a glass of whisky and the cat’s sitting on my lap and purring. Skol!
I’ll join you as well. I was going to build a fire, but it’s warm enough without after all. Happy mini-dachshund snoozing at my side.

It’s still too early for dinner here on the left coast of the US of A, but now that you mention it… I’ll be eating at one of my favorite restaurants tonight, and a glass of port after dinner might be just what the doctor ordered. Well, maybe not the doctor, but someone! Cheers.
The fire is going, the cats are happily snoozing in front of it, and I’m enjoying a whisky. Life is good.
Cheap wine, a mutt on the bean bag, my beloved on the couch next to me, the kiddos asleep with books across their chests, and Netflix on the flat screen. I couldn’t have imagined a better end to the week than that. And it’s been a hectic one, so the cheap wine was flowing freer than usual.
Fro me, last night was a dinner out with Ruth Davidson (SCU leader) as the guest. Good food, good company, and a good speaker.
