For a guy who so desperately wants a Nobel Peace Prize, Trump seems really inclined to stirring up shit and threatening unprovoked conflict:
Trump on Friday said “Christianity is facing an existential threat in Nigeria” and “radical Islamists are responsible for this mass slaughter.”
Trump’s comment came weeks after U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz urged Congress to designate Africa’s most populous country as a violator of religious freedom with claims of “Christian mass murder.”
I don’t think any US president has paid this much attention to Nigeria since Kennedy, or maybe Carter. What nation is next on the Trump hit list? Abkhazia? Tuvalu? San Marino? Kiribati? Has Liechtenstein gotten under his orange-hued skin lately?

I think he’s still steamed about the money he lost to the prince through that email.
I’ve never understood how Arafat got this. As stupid and war-loving as Trump is, he is not as intentionally evil as Arafat.
Trump is just stupid and therefore evil by mistake.
If he isn’t willing to take full responsibility if this fails, then I am not willing to give him credit for wiping his own behind.
My theory is that to win a Nobel Peace Prize, you have to be bad before you can be good, in order to impress the Nobel committee with how big of a “contrast” there is. In their minds, the ideal Nobel winner is a villain who does something that looks peaceful. They’d sooner give it to a Hitler-like person than a genuine saint.
- First, the Palestinians need to be booted out
- The place to boot them needs to be chosen (yes, in this order)
- As they won’t go peacefully, they must be forced out
- Peace!
- Golf Resorts!
- Profit!
Still no Nobel, unless he really pursues the Unified Field Theory like he seemed to be going for the other night. Damn magnets, nobody knows what the deal is with them.
It worked for Begin & Sadat in 1978. The difference being the Nobel Committee really hates Trump and for the Peace Prize it is 99% politics / 1% accomplishments.
I see the UN Security Council has approved a plan with a supervisory “board of peace” to be chaired by YKW. Let’s see if that has any better chance of success than previous internationally-approved mandates to an external power to hold the ring [/sarcasm]
