Supreme Court: Same-sex marriage legal nation wide

Awesome news. I was disappointed in Roberts though. Thought he would do the right thing.

The other three idiots voted as expected.

The speed of change, once it got traction, is as radical and (sociologically) inexplicable as the fall of Prohibition.

And just as welcome. Cheers, all!

That would be all of it, as none of it could get further right.

Let us pause for a moment to think of all the conservatives harmed by today’s SCOTUS rulings.

It must be excruciating knowing that people you despise are happy and healthy.

Well, now it would be the same as if the clerk refused to give a license to a straight couple, except you’d probably have a better case for damages. Chances are, though, all you’d need to do is send an email or make a call and it’d be fixed andthe clerk would probably be fired, if you prefered that route over litigation.

Hate (fear) is having a bad week!

If only the ACA covered butthurt…

I have a massive justice boner right now…and I’m gonna find the nearest man to stick it in!

I think I can hear the gnashing of teeth and rending of garments from my room.

I have a friend in Columbus, OH, who is at the probate court right now with all her lawyer friends, “to watch the first few marriages.” So in Ohio, same-sex marriage can happen right away?

It’s always the homophobes that are secretly into jiggery-pokery!

They’ve started handing out licenses in Texas, from what I hear.

Why - who’s in your room?

I’m “borrowing” this.

From one article:

Yeah, it’s always worked out well to use the Constitution to restrict citizens’ rights.

My only complaint on all this is that my gay grandson wallpapered Facebook with links to news articles about the decision. I get it, you’re happy, but one link would have sufficed.

Yeah, me too.

I don’t know, this is probably the biggest civil rights victory in his lifetime and it happens to pertain to him directly.

They’re hoping for ten new constitutional amendments to restrict civil liberties called the “Bill of Wrongs.”

I can’t imagine what the Pride rallies in NYC and San Francisco will be like this week. Fierce? Fabulous?

If it’s anything like opposite-sex marriage a lot of same-sex folks are going to see a decline in their sex lives.

A bottoming out, so to speak.
(Don’t hate me, I think SSM is a good thing. I just can’t resist a good pun. Or a bad one.)
