I mean they’re from Argentina, of course they think they’re better than other South American immigrants.
I wept because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no class.
I spend a lot of time in Chile and my friends there really think Argentines are a bunch of stuck up jerks who think their better than anyone else.
I once knew an Argentinian guy who was pretty friendly and entertaining. Reminds me a little of Texans. Both like their barbecue. He got along ok with a Chilian friend of mine. What is the perfect South American? The perfect South American has the modesty of the Argentinian, the taste of the Venezuelan, the looks of the Bolivian, and the honesty of the Colombian. The stereotypes of this joke date from the 1990s and yeah they are obviously stereotypes which I disapprove of. I also condemn the stereotypes in the following joke:
Heaven is where the police are British, the cooks are French, the mechanics German, the lovers Italian and it’s all organised by the Swiss. Hell is where the chefs are British, the mechanics French, the lover’s Swiss, the police German and it’s all organised by the Italians. This is a terrible joke and I disapprove of it.
Never mind. My mistake.
I’ve more often heard the Canadian version: Canada could have had British culture, French cuisine and American know-how. Instead it ended up with British cuisine, French know-how and American culture .
I say: In heaven, all the cops are English, all the cooks are French, all the cars are German, and all the women are Italian. In hell all the cops are German, all the cooks are English, all the cars are French, and all the women are Italian.
Mrs Magill is Italian-American.
When I was in Italy, there were so many beautiful women that they must have been imported. No place could have so many beautiful women! Then I went to Sweden and discovered they were exporters.
John F. Kennedy once called Washington, D.C. “a city of Southern efficiency and Northern charm.”
Angry Trump Kills “Woke” Program—and Accidentally Screws MAGA Voters
It’s called the Digital Equity Act. That word—“equity”—caught the White House’s attention. So now Trump is moving to nix funding—but it could cut off millions destined for red America.
Except there’s a problem here. The program in question, the Digital Equity Act, contained huge amounts of money for governments in GOP-run states, as well as Democratic ones, to expand high-speed internet access in underserved communities—very much including red states’ rural areas.
What’s more, every red state government had submitted proposals designed to garner their states large amounts of this funding. These proposals were explicitly designed by these GOP governments partly to serve their states’ rural areas.
Elect an idiot, get idiotic decisions.
Somehow I have a feeling they will be more happy because some libs are getting owned too.
I read that as "undeserved communities: …
Deserve’s got nothing to do with it.
Britain actually has great cooks and terrible police.
I’m not forgiving you for that.
I feel sorry for her kids but she got what she voted for. She will probably be better off just moving to Cuba. And that would be another win for Trump. Three more gone.
As I was watching the video and reading the subtitles, I know the subtitles read “I thought the president would deport criminals, not those with clean records,” but all I could see was, “I never thought the Leopards Eating Face Party would eat my face.”
Good grief these people are fucking stupid. Fuck her. She’s getting exactly what she voted for, the simpleton.
I feel bad for her kids, though. They’re gonna suffer for their parents’ stupidity.
I suppose that’s the lot of every child ever born. These are getting a very rough introduction to why it’s quite so dangerous to be quite that stupid.
And y’know what…
…though the form is especially egregious now, at its root this is not just a Trump thing…
Anti-immigrant hardliners have for decades been banging on the drum of how we should consider the very fact of having entered w/o all the necessary paperwork to be itself criminal. This is all that rhetoric finally coming home to roost. “We will deport criminals”… and guess what you are ALL presumed criminals.
And sure, for decades as well, the USA privileged a subset of the refuge-seekers, but many of them failed to remember that this was just that: a special consideration, that could be withdrawn.
