Presumably Milo didn’t actually vote for the Leopards-Eating-Faces Party, on account of not being a US citizen, but this feels like it best fits in this thread.
Example there of: “faith based” politics/worldview. There MUST be a good reason for what’s happening and they’re just keeping it quiet and we don’t need to know.
I’d bet if it were a Harris administration she’d be singing a different tune.
This is a pretty weak argument to make, considering that the U.S. has not formally declared war on any country since WWII more than 80 years ago.
(Nor has Trump bothered to get congressional authorization for the current conflict, in violation of the War Powers Resolution of 1973. This violation of the law should be an impeachable act, but of course our supine Congress does nothing.)
I’m not advancing an argument. I’m expressing frustration that the America-hating fuckstick is (as usual) flouting the constitution (just as Shrub did in 2003).
The U.S. is devolving into an elected dictatorship in which the constitutional checks and balances have all but evaporated, and where the other branches of government largely rubber-stamp or give their tacit approval to the actions of the executive.
And Trump is not even pretending to follow the law and the Constitution. Hours after purporting to follow the requirements of the War Powers Act back in April (which itself was about eight ceasefires ago) he acknowledged that the U.S. is at war with Iran.
This is what happens when millions of clowns elect more clowns to positions of power. It becomes impossible to say anything so outrageous and absurd that it can’t possibly be taken seriously.
