It had to be Ami. Eliza is an idiot, but not so stupid as to risk a tie.
I’m thinking it’ll be Twila or Chris who wins. People hate Scout and Eliza. And yeah, when are these stupid contestants going to realize that PEOPLE LIE TO WIN. Don’t you just want to screem at them: IT’S A FREAKIN’ GAME!!!
And to think, by all rights, Chris should’ve been the first person voted off. We’d all be calling him “the guy who couldn’t cross the beem” instead of even knowing what his name is.
Ami so had this coming. I’m already looking forward to the reunion show to see if she accepts that she set herself up for her own downfall. And her whining at TC was just ridiculous. She was “hurt”. She was “sad”. She is “stupid” if she thinks anyone is buying that crap.
Eliza has been nothing but annoying. Up to now. I had to cheer her for winning the car (and not just because I was desperately hoping that it wouldn’t be Ami). I think I’m coming around a bit to her particular way of playing the game. Yes, she’s still naive. Yes she’s still dopey. But she’s got those great big Disney eyes, and finally a little bit o gumption. Good for her.
F2 at this point, I’m thinking Chris and Twila. My prediction for future eliminations (barring any immunity that would ruin the order): Julie, Eliza, Scout. And then there were two. Then again, Twila and Scout may connive and realize that Chris is a big threat for challenges, sending him out after Julie.
Of course it could go… Eliza and Chris decide that Scout and Twila are too tight, so they team up with Julie to get rid of the two older women. A lot depends on who wins the next IC-- if it’s Julie, that’ll make things VERY interesting indeed!
what a great episode! that was suspenseful to the end. And then i gave a big hoot!
Ami is just as two-faced as the rest of them she dislikes. She’s sooo chummy with Eliza all during the show. She was working her good. I thought E might jump ship.
Probst had a golden opportunity to roast her, and didn’t. During Tribal Council he asked E if she’d miss AMi if gone, she said yea, and blubbered a bit. Then he asked Ami is she’d miss E and she said yea and talked about how good friends they are, sisters and so on. He should have asked her is they’re such good friends, why’d you vote to get rid of her 2 weeks ago. (At least I think that’s what happened when i was on vacation, the Womens Alliance tried to get rid of her?).
It was also good that Chris took 3rd, over that other woman (man, talk about flying under the radar-who is she again?). If it was just Ami, E and her at the reward who knows what kind of plotting they would have come up wth. Chris broke it up a bit.
looking at the previews for next week, looks like E & T go at it pretty good. I bet E may regret the position she’s in now, though she didn’t have much opportunity for anything else. I’m also sure Twila’s son would understand what Twila said about him when they’re sitting on a bed of a million dollar bills. People lie, it’s called Survivor-get over it!
Is Scout’s luxury item a black eyeliner? She looks normal during the day, but at every TC, she shows up with heavy black eyeliner on. It looks rather odd, considering they’re on an island with no amenities.
And what was with her comment that it was good that Chris won the RC, and got to take a shower, since “he” smelled bad? Does she honestly think she doesn’t stink, too, after 30 days out there?
Other posters have mentioned how Ami looks like she’s gained weight, and I agree, but last night she almost looked pregnant. Her tummy was all pooched out, like she was about 4 months along. Kinda weird.
And this was the first we’ve seen anyone looking skinny and haggard - that shot of Eliza’s shoulder blades was gross, but I think she was skinny when she got there, so it’ll show more on her first.
The expression on Ami’s face right after the IC, when Jeff put the necklace on Chris was really bad. She was pouting , like a petulant child. I’m so glad she’s gone.
I can’t understand all the animosity between Ami and Scout. I wonder if there’s more there than TPTB have let us see. Have the two of them never gotten along?
Shite! I hate it when I’m almost finished with a reply and hit the wrong button!

The annoying thing about Eliza seems to be that early on she would just not shut up. But naïve and dopey? Seems to me that it takes some brains to get into law school. And I agree about the Disney eyes.
I was thinking that at the TC. She cried with Ami, then stabbed her in the back. Of course, Ami deserved it; manipulating person that she is.
Speaking of lines, Ami at the TC as she cast her vote against Scout: ‘You’re not part of any rainbow I’ve seen.’ (Or something like that.) What’s that supposed to mean? That Scout should have done Ami’s bidding because she’s gay, and that not following orders makes her a bad lesbian?

I think Ami’s belly was swollen because she had finally had a decent meal. It was probably gas. And I say that with conviction because there’s no way that Ami would have made love with an evil man. (Nor is there any way the producers would have let a pregnant woman go on the show.)
Eliza is no dummy. The ONLY reason that she wrote Ami’s name down was because she is looking towards the finals. She is pretending to reluctantly write her newbestfriend’s name down only because she couldn’t backstab her alliance. Bullshit. Back in Episode 3 or 4 (I think) Eliza was the FIRST woman to betray her own alliance because she felt (incorrectly) she couldn’t trust the other women. No, Eliza is smart. She either aligns herself with two women who are: a) athletic; b)have already cast a vote for her but never for each other; OR with older women who are not a big threat at challenges and who have succeeded in alienating all the younger women by voting LeAnn and Ami off.
I’m going with Eliza and Scout in the finals. Eliza is a very strong competitor. I believe she’ll win the next two immunity challenges and will pick Scout to be with her. She knows that if she picks Chris, she will probably lose 5-4 (Sarge, Chad, Twila, Scout, LeAnn will vote for Chris, IMO). If she picks Twila, she has a better shot (I believe the men would vote for Twila over Eliza) but if she picks Scout she’ll have an even better shot because none of the men, aside from Chris, have any loyalty to her.
So that’s my prediction. Eliza and Scout in the finals, with Eliza winning the whole thing.
Damn. I wanted Twila to win. She’s my woman in my work pool.
I loved listening to Chris try to define the purple rock scenario. But, those that have been voted against weren’t exempt, were they? I thought they all had to pull a rock??
Yeah, he was close, but not quite. If there’s still a tie after the second vote, EVERYBODY pulls rocks out of the bag, including the two who were tied and the immunity holder.
To be precise, however, since there hasn’t been a tie since Marquesas (largely because of the purple rock tiebreaker), there’s really no way to know if Burnett is still using this method, as has been discussed before. You have to admit, though, that it served its ultimate purpose of making a tie very, very rare…
That’s exactly what I thought! Unless it’s all an act and she’s not a self absorbed man-hating bitch who thinks she’s better than everyone and she should be Queen Coffee Barista of the Island of Lesbos.
Well, duh! Scout, being a lesbian, is supposed to be a member of the Grrr-Grrr Sisterhood, but chose to vote off her sister-womyn and keep that smelly, hairy animal-male Chris. Obviously, she’s a traitor to her beautiful rainbow sisters.
Honestly, how are we ever going to make Family out of you if you can’t even see the obvious?
Unless Eliza wins the immunity all the way out, I don’t think she makes the final two. If Julie would happen to win immunity, then I think Eliza would be the first out of the alliance, not only because she is a physical threat, but also because she has the backstabbing history behind her. I just hopes she goes because the nocturnal house eyes just creep me out, and she is annoying little bad word I should not use in the presence of decent company. I also don’t think anyone would want to face her in the final 2 because she has played the game well, which works in her favor, and there will be distinct voting lines in the jury, which could be very bad for whoever faces her.
And am I going to be the first pig male to mention the Ami and Eliza hotel bed scene? I’m so ashamed, but that would have been much better than Rob and Amber…
I missed that one, I was thinking back to the tie they had in season one where the person with the most previous votes was booted…
So I was pondering what would ramp up the excitement in reality TV. Especially in a such a failing franchise like Survivor and apparently producers got to it before I did. Because tonight featured shuffleboard!!! Yippee!!! Who wouldn’t want to tune in to watch shuffleboard!!!
While I agree that shuffleboard sucked (would have been better to do it at an ice bar… oh wait…) Survivor is still by far the highest rated reality TV show.
Actually, it was pretty easy to tell what the outcome was going to be just by looking at the TV time left once TC started. There simply wasn’t enough time to work out a tie, so it had to be Ami getting booted. We knew Scout, Twila, and Christ were voting for Ami, so with no time to work out a tie, Eliza had to be voting for Ami as well.
