Oh, I forgot. No one’s mentioned the Curse of the Car. Eliza won the car, and no one who’s won the car ever wins Survivor in the end.
I’m not all that convinced that Ami isn’t just a lying, sanctimonious bitch. Is it REALLY true that she’s been straight-up with everyone?
In any event, the “honesty” strategy makes as much sense in Survivor as it does in Poker, or Liar’s Dice. I mean, how many people would want to play “Tell the Truth Dice”?
Richard won the car in Survivor 1.
As far as this season goes, meh. I’m in the “Anybody but Ami” group and my wish has come true. I won’t be sorry to see any of the remaining 5 win.
Richard won the car as part of the final prize. There wasn’t a RC with a car as a prize.
If I had to root for anyone, it would be Chris. He should have been voted out week 1 and has really played a decent game to stay in it.
He is bumbling, but he is fairly likeable.
I disagree. Scout was tight with Ami until Ami and LeAnn admitted that Julie was who they wanted in the final four, instead of Twila. Scout called foul and Ami and LeAnn both claimed that they had never promised anything about who they wanted in the final four. If that’s not outright lying, it’s certainly disingenuous as both Twila and Scout were under the impression that LeAnn, Ami, Scout and Twila had formed an alliance.
Once they went back on their (perhaps implied) word, Scout got “madder than a wet hen” (or words to that effect) and turned on them. That’s why Scout and Twila both ditched that alliance to join their own with Eliza and Chris.
Had the younger girls not gotten so chummy with Julie, I have no doubt both Ami and LeAnn would still be in the game. I believe it was their outright duplicity as far as Twila was concerned that made Scout see that their loyalties were more with Julie than with their alliance.
I don’t see Chris as bumbling at all. He could hardly be smoother in the way he plays. I think he plays like a surfer rides a wave, constantly looking for the right place to position himself next.
I think he has played a SMART game as well. I meant physically. He seems to lack coordination and has been beaten by the women at every step.
… although it was nice watching him deliberately block Ami from getting onto the outrigger canoe so that Eliza could win the car…
Did he? NICE!
This car was actually decent looking.
Most Survivor cars are FUGLY.
Anyone see Ami flip off the TC? I read about it on TWoP, but didn’t see it. Talk about “class act”
*I meant Reality News on Line…Oops
I didn’t catch it either. She did it as she was taking the ‘walk of shame’ out of TC. CBS blurred her hand, of course.
She has anger issues.
Nah, she’s just a bitch.
This was actually a good move on Chris’s part. Hurt one strong player (Ami) plus hedge your bets with the “car curse.” Wow, someone who actually watches the show!
I’ve had trouble figuring out why I dislike Ami so much. I’ve felt that way since the merge show when she admonished another player for showing off the cool things they learned from the native guy to the men. Small things kept adding up to “wow, what a nasty person”.
And on this show we see her closing comment: “If I could just hold Twila underwater for a couple of minutes, I’d probably feel much better.” And my realization: she’s not joking.
I didn’t mind the not teaching the men, but I soured on her when she went off on Lisa.
At least she has been interesting. If they had another All-Star’s game, she would certainly be invited.
I can’t say the same for ANYONE else.
(And I can’t BELIEVE Johnnie Fairplay didn’t make the first one!)
I swear, if I’d had to deal with him for another season hot on the heels of the one he was on, I’d have personally tracked him down and held HIS head underwater for a couple of minutes. Or so.
Chris and Eliza are the strongest players. I don’t care for them much, but they have played the game. Julie is on another planet. Scout is not a threat. Twila is disliked by a few too many people. My guess is that Chris will take it all.
