Brandon Hantz was the whiny-sexist-psycho-religious fucktard on Survivor. He is Russell’s nephew.
Willie Hantz was the thought-he-was-a-mastermind-but-was-really-just-a-bully who got himself kicked off Big Brother for violence against another player. He is Russell’s brother.
To be fair, most are from the past few seasons, and the longest are Erik (season 16) and Corrine (season 17).
The thing is though, people don’t play the same roles. James was a “Hero” but played somewhat villainously in Heroes vs. Villains, for example.
Brenda was cast somewhat as a villainous schemer the first time around, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she plays the good guy role this time. I have a feeling Malcolm will go in thinking “no more nice guy this time” and play like a jerk. Brandon is batshit insane but wants to be liked so hard that people treat him like a good guy.

Brenda - great pick
Corinne - don’t remember her
Dawn - okay pick, I’d like to see her without having to babysit Cochran, but…
Erik - don’t remember him except for Dumbest Survivor Move ever (which likely won’t happen again)
Francesca - good pick
Cochran - oh god why
Malcolm - good pick
Phillip - likely “oh god why” with the potential to be a great pick if he really was faking it as part his strategy last time… but I suspect he really is just nuts
Overall a mix of people I’d like to get another chance since I felt they got unfairly screwed (Andrea, Brenda, Francesca), some I don’t mind, and some absolutely terrible ones that will make me grind my teeth every time they’re on camera (Lil Hantz, Cochran, probably Phillip). I think the only person they could’ve had return who I hated more was Colton.
I remember thinking casting had screwed up horrifically with Lil Hantz, who was clearly psychotic and has been teetering on the brink of sanity in the Twitterverse ever since his notoriety from Survivor. I’m really shocked they’re having him back. Not a good idea, Probst. And I’ll watch every goddam episode.
Each time they bring back players, I think about whether an all-winners season would be an exciting or boring season.
So he’s still nuts? I always wondered whether he was actually nuts, or if he was just getting leading questions in the interviews and a “crazy guy” edit. If that was his real behavior, I will be completely unsurprised when they find the collection of women’s body parts in his garage freezer.
Why don’t they have that cute small woman who broke her wrist in the first challenge? When does she get to come back?
The ones I feel bad for are the ones I liked, like Malcolm, who would have a decent chance because they’re good players, but are completely screwed being on a tribe with the crazy ones and the tribe will be a mess in most or all respects. It’ll be fun to watch things fall apart though.
Kourtney Moon. That’s her. Holy Crapsky, apparently she’s had a tumour removed! That would explain things.
WOW - just found out my husband’s childhood friend is one of the Fans for this season. This is going to be an awesome season to watch for us! I get to cheer for Mike Snow beginning on the very first show. It usually takes me 5-6 weeks to start to get a favorite player or two. He’s an awesome guy - I hope he goes far!!
And even better? Now my husband has to watch with me instead of making fun of me!!!
