Survivor December 16 2012 "The Million Dollar Question"

Delayed quite a bit. Should start around 8:57 PM Eastern, folks.

I have no idea if the Obama speech is pushing things later or not.

Final 3.

Last chance. Who is it going to be?

I’ll say Skupin, which is who I want to win as well.

Wow, Malcolm certainly did turn out to be a big, whiny crybaby. Penner, too, for that matter.

Denise wins.

I’m disappointed, not because I dislike Denise too much, but because she is so dull.

Boring ending to a pretty good season.

Does anybody know what the bloody fucking hell Lisa is talking about?

News is that the next season is going to be another Fans vs. Favorites. And one of the returnees is going to be Brandon Hantz. :stuck_out_tongue:

Only Lisa.

Good end to a good season.

Since they filmed this season and the next one right after the other, I’m guessing no one from this season will be one of the favorites, though I wouldn’t mind seeing Malcolm get another shot.

Per Dalton Ross, the returnees are people who have only played once, not twice or more, previously.

Did Jeff ever reveal the complete voting results?

Not that I saw, but if either Lisa or Skupin had gotten more than one vote, I’m sure it would have been shown before announcing that Denise was the winner.

I just looked at some of the spoiler sites (not spoilers of who might win, but of who the returnees might be) and that looks like a really interesting cast. One is a person I thought could win their episode, but ended up being the first bootee.

Carter voted for Skoopin and RC voted for Lisa,Denise got the other 6.

Good for Denise. She was my favorite to win. But WTF with Lisa winning the $100K. Is this he Biggest Loser Contest?

Next season is Fans vs Favorites. Retreads galore. I think we can be assure that Malcolm will be part of the cast based on Jeff’s question at the Reunion show.

I was surprised at how bitter everyone seemed - I kinda figured this cast would mostly be “okay, you played a good game, you beat me, I understand” type persons (like RC). Instead they really seemed to rake the Final 3 over the coals despite there not being too many blindsides or betrayals this season.

Can’t believe Lisa won the $100k. Guess the Bible thumpers vote in force.

I thought Skupin had a good shot at beating Denise, but he needed to be more forceful on showing how he stood toe-to-toe with Malcolm and others in challenges, and act like he was in the driver’s seat making decisions - after all, every person he voted for went home (except for idols played).

Here’s a link for a rumored cast list for Survivor 26. http://www.homorazzi.com/article/survivor-26-cast-spoilers-caramoan-fans-favorites-sequel/ While I tend to find the returnees more interesting (since it weeds out all the boring people, or bad players) I think they REALLY mis-cast this season if this is the true list. The vast majority of those returnees are bad and/or annoying players, including some of my least favorite Survivors of all time. Ugh.

I can’t believe Malcolm did so poorly at that last challenge, especially with the second chance. Talk about choking–he was definitely feeling the pressure!

Tribal Council was fairly ho-hum, except for Penner being an ass.

While RC still seemed a little bitter at the reunion show, I don’t blame her. Abi and Pete played horribly and torpedoed RC’s game as well as their own, and all they do is shrug their shoulders and act like it was beyond their control. However, it was nice to hear Abi say that she realizes how awful she was acting to everyone and she wants to change.

I like Lisa, but could have done with less of her speechifying at the reunion.

Skupin is just a big goofball. Seems like a nice guy, but I never got the impression that he was doing much strategizing. I didn’t think he had a chance to win. It was always going to be either Malcolm or Denise.

Probst needs to get a restraining order against that Dawson chick. She crazy!

Malcolm aside, I figured Denise would be the one to beat. Skupin’s too much of a goof. And, as much as I liked watching Lisa’s story unfold this season, I thought she pulled out the big guns too late in the game to have any serious impact.

That said, I’m very happy, especially since she’s an older woman in a game that favors the younger

Re back to the Jury Q & A when Penner spilled Lisa’s background. She replied something like, “How would you like it if I told everybody who you were at [whatever] age?” Which had me thinking…was Penner “somebody” at that age, like a child star or something? I know I could google it, but I thought I’d throw it out there.

Immunity challenge choke aside, Malcolm made his biggest strategy blunder of the game when talking to Denise. She mentioned forcing a tie vote, but quickly backed off when he started waffling. This would have been a *zero risk *plan for both of them.

2 votes Lisa, 2 votes either Mal or Denise. Then, whoever didn’t get votes can decide whether to flip on the re-vote or let the other person take their chances in a tiebreaker contest. Each has the opportunity to save the other, but they don’t have to. No risk.

The way they played it was simply “Skupin and Lisa decide who goes home,” which seemed very out of character for the game they’d played up to then. Malcolm should have considered the tie plan. Denise must have been pretty confident in the outcome or I have to think she would have pushed harder for the idea.

The biggest blunder for Skuping and Lisa was to vote Abi out.
From the moment they let Malcolm and/or Denise in the final three they didnt stand a chance and the vote confirmed it.
