Okay, tonight’s the night! We finally get this season over with (just in time for a strike-necessitated season of Big Brother…not that I wouldn’t rather have had another season of TAR instead, but…). I have no predictions whatsoever…I’d like either Amanda or Denise to win, but I’m not holding my breath.
So it’s 2 hours of finale and an hour of reunion, and I’m only watching the first 2 hours and about 5 minutes of reunion (just until they tell us who actually won), because I’m not spending a 3 hour block of time in front of the TV for Jeff Probst.
I marked this thread Open Spoilers because, frankly, PST people won’t know who the winner is until after 1AM EST and I’m not going to be up that late, and I’m sure a lot of East Coast people won’t be either. If you’re a West Coaster and don’t want to be spoiled, stay out of the thread. If I have to wait until tomorrow to talk about the finale I’ll forget everything I was going to say anyway.
Hey, that’s fine. I totally learned my lesson last week (and sorry for bitching about it in the first place). Though the thread title is helpful. See ya @ 1am! I’m skipping the reunion, too, though in previous seasons I’ve flown through it in about 10-15 minutes with the DVR.
Hmmm…looking at the OP again from the perspective of half an hour later, I do see that it’s a little harsh. Didn’t mean to basically say “STAY OUT!” or anything. It was just a warning that we were going to be talking about the finale before you guys even see it.
Well, another fourteen minutes until the finale. I’m really hoping Denise wins, but I cannot imagine anyone taking her with them to the finale- she’s too likeable. Plus she has had a lot of opportunities to flip and has held true to her alliance. Yup, I’d love for a lunch lady to take it all home
That said, the only person I really don’t want to win is Courtney. And perhaps Todd. Ok, so I guess that means that I want Amanda or Denise to win.
We’ve seen that happen before, though. There are just some people who play the game fairly well all the way through and then when they get into the Final 3 (or Final 2), they just suddenly wilt and can’t convince or persuade to save their lives.
Cleaned-up Courtney and Amanda have been visited by The Bang Fairy–as in hair!–and hit with the Bettie Page stick, only it worked with Bettie.
Sorry for my tactlessness above, but I was so angry about Todd that all I could think of was how his family could show up after all that drama about such an intimate thing.
Courtney is being sooo funny! I could have lived with her winning although my fave was Amanda, after my fave Peih Gee was voted out, after my other fave Denise was gone, after…
I promised my wife that if Todd won I’d never watch Survivor again. It’s a good thing that I added The Amazing Race to my “must see TV” list this season. So, that about breaks even in tube time, right?
After the speeches I would have voted for Courtney. Amanda really torpedoed herself every time she opened her mouth. That and just plain telling Denise she would not write her name down. Bad Amanda. You really were as dumb as I thought you were. And Toad was just a slippery little bastard that still could not even own up to the fact that he thought he was smarter than everybody. OK, that may be my dislike for him talking. Does anybody believe that they will every have a gay man that is not a flaming stereotype? It must help ratings to reinforce that.
