I think it’s Peter Sarsgaard I was thinking of.

Not a whole lot of drama in this one. I was a little disappointed that Michael, Jenna, and Stephanie didn’t fight harder. The old “You’re on the bottom of the alliance” card is a classic for a reason!
Anyway, Steph seemed nice enough, I guess. But I’m not sorry I don’t have to keep hearing how special she is because she’s doing it for her kids.
I appreciated that they didn’t try to fake us out with some blindside plan that wasn’t really in the cards.

Pretty boring. Maybe the producers edited it out, but there was no evidence the down and outers were scrambling to find a HII. The male model guy continues to break the biggest rule of Survivor: Don’t make yourself look like the biggest, baddest guy on the team. If you do well in the challenges, DON’T BRAG ABOUT IT!!!
Still, that was pretty amazing. Even Jeff was stunned.
And he does deserve credit for working Donathan.

That was a rare challenge where I think the producers/creative-team were surprised how quick it went for the winning team. He killed it.
We call male-model guy Bjorn because he looks like Bjorn on Vikings. We keep thinking that if you put the tattoos on him and invite him on the set, he would do great there.
Jeff: So, did you have some background that helped you do so well in the challenge <he knows damn well what Bjorn’s background is>?
Bjorn: Yeah, I played college baseball, blah blah blah.
What Bjorn should have said: Well, I try to stay in shape, but like everyone else, I was just really determined to make sure our team won. Great job, folks!!
Even when he was “working Donathan”, he spent more time talking about himself than just listening or talking about Donathan. I give him 0% chance of winning.
Pretty ho hum episode. Ghost Island has been a disappointment so far. Only one game has been played, and by having them go after the reward challenge ruins the only other good twist. It’s basically Exile Island now.
I enjoyed the challenges, it’s nice to see something besides always solving a puzzle, even though the immunity did involve a puzzle. Overall, it was an extremely boring episode, early on it was the Stephanie show. The tribal was boring and I still have no idea who some of the people even are. I was happy to see Stephanie go home.
My wife and I have been thinking that they introduce new characters every week. Who is Chloe? There was some other girl I don’t remember ever seeing before. Who are these people and what are they doing on Survivor?
Stephanie’s “woe the single-mom” act was wearing a bit thin. Leaving the Mormon faith was a twist, but nothing much was said about it. I was thinking about how Mormons would NOT like her prancing about pretty much nekkid like that. I suppose I will miss that.
As soon as Stephanie gave her “I imagine winning Survivor and immediately going to hug my two kids” speech I figured she was either going home tonight or winning the whole thing.
And yeah, pretty boring episode, with some amusement during the challenges. A bit too much waterworks for my tastes… they’re only five episodes in, and hearing about everyone’s family or past life experiences (I think there were two people now who said they recently got divorced and changed their life around?) doesn’t do much for me.
I agree that Ghost Island has been disappointing with how many “no game today” days there are. I don’t want Advantageddon again either, but they should find a way to at least give each player something - even the option! - to do. Or maybe if you have a situation like last week where the person chooses not to indulge, it gets saved for the next person (so Stephanie could’ve taken the risk).
And yes, five episodes in and there are still a lot of people I couldn’t tell you one thing about. I think part of that is how young everyone is, it makes them blend together more.
Dang, he really does! I kept thinking he looked familiar…
Off the top of my head, I can’t even remember what the supposed purpose of Ghost Island is. A week ago, a woman got a choice that was 50/50 at best, but I can barely remember what the choice was for. In fact, I don’t remember what the “good” choice would have gotten her.
Do they have to choose one at a time, left to right? That’s what they’re doing and all the “sit on your ass and do nothing” are all at the front. Boring.
They don’t know what the “Good” choice gets them.
Does anyone know if there’s a video of just Matt’s dominance in the challenge? I’d like to show my wife, maybe post it on social media.
Who’s Matt? I do not know each players names and some of the women I didnt even notice until she fell off the decking for the challenge. I always think that they are not contenders for the end if they get no screen time before merge. Umm when do they get real bathing suits?
Is his name not Matt?

The guy I’m calling Bjorn who won that challenge is named Chris Noble, I think.
So it’s Chris.
No Matt on Ghost Island.
Oops, Chris. Sorry for the confusion!

Me too, her shtick was getting old. Plus lime green is rapidly becoming my favorite color!
I agree boring episode. Also agree that skull island is a big bust. Really, what’s the point?
I like the idea of Ghost Island as a chance to get an advantage but the rate of games is far too low.
