That was awesome!
Don’t let the door hit ya, Ego the Living Ego…
Wendell’s comments to the camera at the end were hysterical, “put the microphone down.”
You cant vote and the tribal is about voting you or the other guy and you keep your idol in your pocket? Isnt this the definition of dumb?
We KNEW he was the kind of guy who cannot conceive that a majority of the tribe would actually vote for him (ESPECIALLY since he gave them “guidance” on who to actually vote for). It didn’t surprise me one bit that he didn’t use the HII.
Wendell is my new favorite. Besides his vote speech, I cracked up earlier when he said: We just need to get rid of Chris and then we can start living like human beings. But I’m no fan of Dominic’s, so it was nice to see him play his idol needlessly. This was a great episode!
Yeah, Wendell is pretty interesting, more low key than the other players, but pretty funny.
Well, it was one of those HIIs with a limited shelf life. He had to play it with 13 or 6 players remaining, and there was no guarantee he’d still be there at 6 if he didn’t play it at 13. Better to play it and not have needed it than to do the opposite, which is what happened to Chris and oh so many others over the years.
Don’t forget that the idol he had was only good for this TC and the next one! It’s not like he could save it for a more dangerous time. Plus he’s a challenge monster, so he could easily have won immunity at the next TC. This was James-level dumb play.
Dom still has a real HII as well - he found it way back on Day 4. That’s when he crafted the fake idol - his plan was to give away the fake idol with the letter from the real one, or something like that. But it was definitely the perfect play of the Legacy Advantage, and he’s still got a real HII in his pocket.
What an idiot. And he committed one of my “Survivor” pet peeves: promiscuous use of the word “blindside”. You are blindsided when you have been humming along in a strong position in the dominant alliance (and you can never be sure of this right after the merge—we’re talking about after having been part of a stable majority in the previous couple votes at least), and then a secret cabal plots against you and gets you out when you least expect it. This was nothing like that!
It’s worth noting that it was pretty cool to see three women left standing in the IC. Women have tended to do well in painful endurance-type challenges, and those that require balance, but given that this one involved holding a pole with the upper body I thought some of the strong guys would be well positioned.

It was also smart to break out that fake idol and then play that challenge. It can put people off the scent of him having an idol, they’ll think that Chris confused the advantage he played with a HII.
Chris Noble will be the answer of a trivia question.
What castaway was voted out of survivor, yet never voted in tribal council.
Can’t believe he didn’t use his HII. Especially when he heard Domenick voting for him.
Especially since they were splitting votes, Dom and Wendell only need to pull 3 people to their side.
It probably would have been smarter for the women to try and pull off the blindside of Libby. Leave Dom and Chris targeting each other every tribal.
She did get two votes—what was that about if they decided against it?
True about the trivia question!
I think the two who voted for Libby we’re left out of the loop of the real plan. They just found out they’re on the bottom.
So far the track record with advantages has not been good.
Chris went home with an idol.
Michael played his idol on the wrong person.
Jacob found the advantage (couldn’t use it) and gave it to Morgan. Both are gone. Dom used it unnecessarily.
Anything else I’m forgetting?
Chris was done in by his own greed, in a way. Had he simply accepted the original terms of the idol - can be used only at the next tribal and you keep your vote - he’d still be in the game. But yeah, really dumb not to play it anyway.
I became less and less impressed with him each episode, culminating in this really stupid ending. I didn’t like him much, but am glad he shook hands and said “Good Game” to the other guy at the end. Right move, best way to end things.
Dalton Ross interviewed Chris over on ew.com. Apparently the only thing he’s upset about is Wendell dissing his rap talents when he cast his vote.
Perhaps because he made a rap video his first day at Ponderosa.
I was so very happy to see Chris voted out. I’ve really liked Wendall from the start, as someone mentioned upthread, he seems a lot more low key than other players. Back to Chris, it had to be ego that made him not play his idol. I’m happy with the result, but thought the episode was boring.
