Yeah, that hurt. That was bad in so many ways. Missy and Elizabeth are, in many ways, worse villains than Dan.
They used to get tree mail that would give them a hint of what the challenge would be. I’m assuming they still do and they just don’t show it.
Well, yeah.
But if you rob a bank, the fact that you didn’t rob two other banks isn’t really a defense.
That speculation is about as strong as Dan’s chances to get back on the air.
I can guarantee you that the contracts the contestants sign permit the production company to remove them for any reason they want to.
If you watched the show, Dan was skeezy and should have been ejected when Kellee complained, they had plenty of footage of Dan touching Kellee after she asked him to stop.
Not saying he would succeed, but that doesn’t mean there wouldn’t be any possible legal action. There could be legal action *against * Dan however from the crew member.
From Probst’s interview with Dalton:
I think it’s pretty clear that there’s at least some information they don’t want to publicly reveal and they don’t want anything accidentally coming out in a live show. Or have a castaway pester Jeff about something he can’t say.
No. But if you are accused of stealing something by three people, and two of them later admitted they only made the accusation for a chance at a million $, that cast doubt on the third person.
Mind you the film made it clear Dan didnt respect boundaries, he was a old school toucher. No one can defend him. What he did was wrong. But those two made everything muddy and blurred.
I would like to see Elaine appear in a future season. Unfortunately, it seems to me there is very little chance that Elaine could ever make some changes needed for her to win. More to the point, I can’t imagine just what she could ever change or do to win.
It’s not just that people see her as having this extremely disadvantaged life story that would compel people to vote for her to win if she ever makes it to the Finale.
But it seems to me that she has already shown everything she has. Her life story makes it pretty clear that she has always been extremely unlucky and has very little else she can add or change that would help her win.
I’d really like to see her win. But sorry to say, I just think the odds are pretty close to zero.
Is this a terrible season of the show? I have a feeling Probst is going to look back on it with disdain.
I thought this season had a good cast, with some compelling stories. The Theme sucked and was a total bust and the incident was unfortunate.
As contestants, I really like Missy, Elaine, Tommy, Lauren. Its unfortunate that the eye-candy was voted out early (Molly and Chelsea). I think Dean has been really entertaining, but he is getting a goofball edit, so there is no way he is winning. Noura is bat shit crazy and I kind of like that too.
At this point, I am rooting for Janet.
Missy is dead to me.

EW By Dalton Ross rated it dead last of all seasons. And I have to agree, but it had promise.
To me it always seemed like Missy was uncomfortable with Dan, but didn’t want to do anything about it, because she didn’t want to blow up her game, lied to Dan about it, because she didn’t want to blow up her game, and used it as a game tactic against Kellee, because she thought that’s what Kellee was doing to her. I agree she behaved badly to Janet, because she had *put herself *in an awkward situation but I don’t think she is some fake rape alleger like some people make her out to be.
She flat out admitted it.
In Survivor there is always a fine line to be tread with regards to lying. All players that make it to the end have spread a little deception around - I don’t care what they say. Push it too much, though, and you’re and asshole and a backstabber rather than a crafty or strategic player.
Missy was my favorite player until she did that. She not only crossed that line, she smashed it to bits. She is dead to me as well. She admitted what she did, admitted it was wrong and apologized. What else do you need?
People aren’t making her out to be anything she isn’t guilty of and admitted to herself.

I’d have to go back and check previous episodes to be sure - which I have no intention of doing - but wasn’t Kellee the only one who actually accused Dan of wrongdoing and/or made a complaint to the producers?
Missy and Elizabeth insincerely commiserated with Kellee and used her situation to blindside her. That was an absolutely shitty thing to do and I’m not excusing it. But I don’t think it’s the same thing as making a false accusation.
At any rate, this whole Survivor mess notwithstanding, yes, of course believe women.
Women are people. People in general lie. I don’t believe anyone without evidence.
There is evidence right there on tape. Dan was a old school toucher. That made Kellee uncomfortable, and she- rightly so- told him to stop. But he didnt- which was completely wrong. Now sure, it’s a small and compact living quarters and most people- even other women- had no issues with being touched by dan or anyone. So, I have no issue with Kellee *having *to tell Dan, as the environment is a touching environment. But once she did, he had to stop touching her- and he didnt. kKllee later on did say she didnt like people touching her, but dan was the worst.
Now with Missy and Elizabeth’s accusations it did make it seem like dan was some sort of creep pervert. Those deliberate accusations were made simply to try and win a million bucks, and that is even more ethically wrong than Dan.
So Dan was wrong. He was touching Kellee after she asked him to stop. Period, full stop. And it wasnt accidental, he was playing with her legs.
Dan may or may not be some sort of creep pervert- or maybe just a older guy who is from a different generation than kellee. The show doesnt make that clear. I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on that. * But in touching Kellee after she asked him to stop, he was wrong. *
