Andrea left with the one she had found, does that take the HII out of play?
I don’t know one way or another, but he could write those as the filming is happening and only post them as it airs. Would be a good way to keep it “authentic”.
As Brenda was giving away the reward I kept wanting her to say “If you vote me out after this you are all going to HELL!”. Would’ve overplayed the hand, but it clearly wouldn’t have hurt. lol.
Can someone tell me what the meaning of the title “Don’t Say Anything About My Mom” was for? I must have missed it!
Jeff made some comment about how Cochran and his mom were falling way behind in the reward challenge and Cochran shot back “don’t say anything about my mom!”
It’s probably giving him too much credit, and they were lagging just because Cochran knew they couldn’t win, but given how much of a poisoned prize the Loved Ones challenge is, I could see Cochran being smart enough to purposely throw it. Eddie seemed to be taking it easy too (walking the beams over) probably because he didn’t want to give his dad a heart attack.
The pro-Brenda team has an extra player.
I believe it does.
I don’t think so. Probst’s weekly comments are in response to questions posed to him by Dalton Ross and Dalton sees the show at the same time we do.

Well, if that were true, then why did Probst say “if anyone has the hidden Immunity Idol, now’s the time to play it.” before he read last nights votes?
Because the other players do not necessarily know that Andrea went home with a HII in her pocket.
Its irrelevant that they all know that she did, but they do not know for sure.
To the best of my knowledge, HII’s are in play up until the final four. Even if someone goes home with one in their pocket, it’s usually put back in the game.
I don’t think so. To TPTB, the HII that Andrea took home is still in play.
Theoretically, she could have given the HII to Eddie w/o Cochran, Dawn, Erik, and Sherri knowing it.
wow, Dawn. i can just picture her repeatedly stabbing a friend in the back with a knife, while breaking down in tears crying, “I’m so sorry! I love you but you need to die, DIE, DIE!”
Yeah, I felt this way, too.
For Cochrane to orchestrate this, fine. He plays a cool, cerebral game and it kept him still one vote away from being in a real danger zone (Eddie as buffer). And Sherri, sure, great idea. She’s a lock for the Final 3 and she’ll never make a big move except push to keep the fat, lazy Marine around, if you wanna call that a move. But Dawn, she plays this crazy emotional game, breaks down sobbing at the drop of the proverbial hat, leans on Brenda like she’s her own personal shrink so she can keep it together another day and the turns around with complete indifference and pushes the knife in. WTF, Dawn? I guess the whole emotion/friends thing matters when it serves you.
For Brenda: if you’re on Day 35 and you think you’re safe, especially considering the blindsides that preceded yours and considering you nearly got blindsided the previous vote, you don’t deserve to win. Obviously.
OMG Funny!
So did anyone notice that Cochrane’s mother called him “Cochrane” in the phone video? Even though his name is John?
Also, a commercial from last night flat out said A medical emergency reduces the number from 5 to 4. (Spoilered in case you avoid info from commercials, but then you’d better not watch any CBS from now till Sunday).
Yes, and then they showed
Eddie, Cochran and Erik participating in challenges I don’t remember having seen yet so far, which pretty much spoils at least three of the people who manage to go on to the final IC.
I also assumed that Dawn is going to go crazy with guilt after her backstabbing vote. It’s one thing to be ruthless, but if you’re going to play that way, you have to OWN it. Dawn may be playing a more strategic game, but one of the reasons she was picked as a “favorite” was her image as a nice person. She might win the million bucks, but she really did damage to her reputation. Now I think of her as a sobbing psychotic she-bitch.
She’s also alienated a lot of people sitting on the jury. I certainly don’t see Brenda, Malcolm, or Andrea voting for her!
Brenda was humble, which is good, but perhaps she should have been less humble when it counted. I believe she “slipped” off intentionally to give Dawn a needed boost.
So, Andrea gave up her reward to feed the tribe rice and beans, then Brenda gave up her reward to feed the losers. Then both were voted off? So much for gaining favor with the jury members.
Are they out of rice and beans again? Does nobody on the entire island know how to fish? They were given fishing equipment early on, no?
I think that they should do a season with family members who made an appearance at this stage in the game. Brenda’s father, Lisa W’s hunky brother, etc.
There’s no reason to assume the medical emergency occurs before any of the challenges. It could very well occur after the first immunity challenge.
I’ve been wondering about this, too. Maybe they’ve been fishing and the editors just haven’t shown us. Or maybe the Survivors are each too paranoid to leave camp for fear everyone else will start plotting against them.
I don’t remember there being any fishing gear given out this game. Also, somebody asked about when giving up a personal reward for the benefit of the tribe was a good thing–Andrea gave up spaghetti at the auction so she could get a sack each of beans and rice, which was described as enough food to last them to the end of the game. Granted, she got the benefit of that, but it’s kept the rest of them fed, a little.
Never really understood, aside from the gross factor, why nobody goes out into the jungle and finds grubs to eat no matter how starving they get. In Australia: Outback, they got so malnourished their hair was falling out and nobody did a damn thing to gather food because they didn’t want to seem too competitive (the same season that Skupin (a) killed a boar and (b) passed out from malnutrition and fell in the fire).
I just thought it was kind of sad that, after Brenda helped Dawn find her retainer, and Dawn swore she’d be her BFF (and probably vote for her at the final vote), the VERY FIRST CHANCE she has to decide whether to vote for Brenda or somebody else, she nukes Brenda.
I also think Eddie has a shot if he makes it to the final vote–he’s got Malcom & Reynold’s votes, and even if he isn’t actively doing anything, people have won in the past by virtue of tenacity (I’m thinking of the woman whose strategy was “I’ll vote for anybody you want, just not me”, and then refused to join any alliances).
