Bwah! I’m Psychic!
I had to pick up my MOM at the airport and if she had come in on time it would have been PER-fecto by NOOOOOOOOOO thunderstorms in Chi town delayed her flight by and hour and then I misplaced my keys. Anyway I missed the first hour! Oh well. Love my Mom Not her fault. At least I can watch the last hour.
I still think the “twist” is “Everyone [or, at least, all the jury members] gets a million bucks!”
I don’t know why I think this, but I do.
“Don’t be stupid, Stupid!” Oooh, BURN!
Hmm, I wasn’t too far off…
VOTE RUPERT! (I don’t know why, but I’m pretty fond of him)
I’ve already voted!
Best tribal council ever. Best reunion show ever.
P.S. Vote Rupert!
In all honesty, you could simply not look at the survivor thread for a couple of hours. That seems much easier than making everyone else code spoilers.
As an aside, I really hate spoiler boxes. Especially when…
they are used for something completely innocuous
That is all.
What an incredibly crappy ending. Two worthless people get married and share all the money. Worst. Finale. Ever.
I hope their marriage crashes and burns. I hope they lose all their money in the stock market. I hope Amber cheats on Rob and gives him crabs.
I thought it was in the contract that contestants could not share prizes. If it’s not it should be. They should make it a rule that if any two contestants get married, they don’t get a cent. What a wasted season.
The first fifteen minutes was a recap of the series. Then Jeff brought them their final “reward” - a picnic basket full of supplies for making breakfast and a camera. Everyone sat around eating pancakes and taking pictures. Rupert walked off the get some water and Rob and Amber talked to Jenna. They told her that they planned on voting against Rupert and that if she voted against him she’d go to the final three. If she stuck with Rupert and voted against Rob or Amber, then there’d be a tie and she might be the one kicked off.
The immunity was going through a maze and finding eight rungs for a ladder. Then building the ladder and climbing it to win. Amber won (Rupert was second but not too close).
Jenna dithered back and forth about whether she should stick with her alliance or guarantee herself a slot in the final three. At the tribal council, everyone else basically said who they were voting for. In the end, Jenna voted against Rupert to guarantee she’d move on.
Early the next morning, Jeff sent them off to get dressed up in silly costumes and take the walk of flashbacks. Then they had the final endurance immunity challenge. They had to stand on two poles and keep one hand on the immunity idol on another pole. Jenna went out around 2 hours when she accidentally lifting one of her feet. Rob and Amber discussed quitting but then decided to continue for the immunity. They spent about another hour then Amber touched the idol with her other hand without thinking which disqualified her.
They tried to make it look like Rob might choose Jenna as a surprise. But there was never any realistic possiblity of that happening. Rob took Amber to the final two.
Did anybody else get the feeling that Rob is much more into Amber than she is into him? Especially once she found out she won.
Do people believe that Rob was sincere in his semi-apology after Lex and Kathy denounced him at Tribal Council or was he just trying to sway votes?
In a completely unrelated issue, do people like Jenna Morasco and Sue Hawk collect whatever prize money they would have gotten if they had been voted off instead of quitting? How about Osten and Michael Skupin?
And it looks like a lock on Rupert collecting the million from the viewers’ choice. The only other person I’m considering voting for is Kathy. I wonder who will do the worst - Boston Rob? Amber? Jerri?
What did Rob say about Big Tom’s son?
Geez, is it so damn hard to use spoiler boxes?
Lib started this thread yesterday, presumably to discuss and ponder the possibilites on Survivor. To say that West Coasters shouldn’t even open this thread before the end of the show is absurd.
Frankly, I think we need a Mod ruling. Because otherwise these threads are going to be strictly restricted to people in one time zone until a show is aired. Which is fine, I guess, but something I’d like to be clear on.
Okay, it’s done airing on the left coast, so here we go.
Post All-Stars thoughts:
-
When the hell did this show become “The Bachelorette?” Gah, choke me already with your lovey-dovey BS.
-
I’ve never been so unhappy about being wrong before in my life. I would have preferred to have seen Jonny Fairplay win the Powerball than watch Ambuh take the money.
-
The only redeeming moment was the final words of the jurors.
-
This season might have put me off Survivor for good. Seriously.
No. It’s. Not.
I could not agree more with this sentiment.
Rob and Amber are two of the dumbest and least likeable people to ever appear on Suvivor. And then the damn reunion show was all Amber and all Rob. Yeah they’re getting married. You told us this twelve times already. We heard. We don’t care. Even the audience was booing them.
That was really overdone. I wanted to hear from the other members and more from Jerri but it was all about Rob and Amber getting married. Sheeit.
Jerri leaving during the commercial was great. Emotions were high during the reunion. Usually it’s all about making nice and saying how the show was edited to make it seem worse than it really was. This time plenty of people were really pissed off.
Tina and Rob C.'s lines in the Finale show were dialogue that I’ll never forget.
