Dagnabbit,
I got all excited when I saw the title thinking “now I don’t have to figure out how to program my VCR to tape Survivor and the Apprentice”.
mutter mutter
I think they’re divying up the teams tonight randomly by pulling different colored buffs from a bag (that’s what I’ve sussed from the previews at least).
I’m kinda hoping that Rupert is next to go because his self-righteous whining is on my last nerve but I got a feeling it’s gonna be Jerri or Shii Ann due to their likeability.
You are evil. EEEEEEEvil.
I actually went to the CBS page to make sure it was going to be on tonight.
Damn, I’m gullible. But you’re a big meanie.
<<pout>> evil tricksy NotWithoutRage… tricksy
Thank you, thread hint box. You didn’t get me!!
I’m with stpauler on the random tribe rearrangement. I’ve been hoping for this since just about the beginning, because I’d like to see all those so-carefully-thought-out alliances get blown all to hell.
If the tribes are switched up, it’s a whole new ball game and I can’t even begin to guess who’s out. If Rob ends up without his flunkies, he could very well get booted, just on threat level alone, never mind the arrogance. But I guess most of my money’s on Jerri, because nobody likes her.
You’re a veddy bad man! I had to check my IWon TV listings to make sure. Whew!
I don’t care what they do tonight as long as I get my weekly Boston Robisms. He’s a pisser!
Me, too. I think they’re going to get some cryptic Tree Mail and assume they’re merging, but then get there and it’ll be a random rearrangement, possibly making the tribes five players each. They’re six and four now, right?
The previews show Rob making some smart-ass comment about his next move shaking things up, but I can’t figure out what he would mean. I hope he and Amber are split up.
And yes, all those carefully planned alliances getting blown all to hell will be quite funny. I’m counting the minutes to 8:00.
It just wouldn’t be a Survivor week without the obligatory spoiler, would it?
Smart money says it’s Jerri’s turn this week. Even with a possible merge happening, and some juggling of the tribes, Jerri has proven herself to be weak through and through. Methinks she won’t last the show.
However, there’s also some speculation that a fair amount of the promos for this week could be…dun dun DUN…completely bogus in nature. Y’know, this being April Fool’s day and all. But we’ll see.
Oh, and in regards to all the promos talking about “Survivor’s most shocking moment”…
Word has it that Rob and Amber are separated in the tribal merge, and Rob throws the Immunity Challenge to spare Amber’s team (and, thus, Amber) from a votin’. Curiouser and curiouser, no?
I still hold out hope that Amber will be the next to go. But we’ll see.
Well, that sucked. I’ll save the spoilers for a little longer just in case, but damn. What were they thinking at Tribal Council?
Ok, one spoiler (west coasters - don’t read!)
I am so. Freaking. Tired. of Rob getting whatever the hell he wants.
Now comes the inevitable: Rob starts going back on all those deals he’s made…
Ok, that’s it. I’m done with All-Stars. Or should that be All-Idiots? Or maybe All-Rob-Getting-His-Way? I am absolutely fed up of that smarmy, arrogant prick. Roll on Survivor 9. Maybe the new contestants will have more than 1 brain-cell to rub together and will realise that if someone is a threat, instead of pandering to their every need, you just vote them out.
The only good thing about this season is that I got to see Hatch. When he went, so did my interest.
Oops. In my ire I forgot to log Grace out. Ah well, she feels pretty much the same way as me, so it’s all good.
Agreed. Maybe I’m nuts, but I’d be thinking “what do I need to do to get rid of that punkass?” instead of “what can I possibly do so I can continue to kiss his ass?” Grr. And normally I have a thing for Boston guys.
That was by far the most boringly wussified editing on Survivor ever. There was a lot of stuff going on and it should have been cool, but instead I felt like I I was watching “Oprah on the beach”. Will this relationship survive seperation? Will Jerri get closure from Lex? Will Big Tom get self-affirmation from his fishing attempt? Will wolfman choke to death on his rising bile? Stay tuned to find out after these messages.
Meh, this was a disappointing episode.
Did they call the switch-that-wasn’t a “reward challenge”? My digital cable’s preview thing said “the tribes turn the reward challenge on its ear!” and I must say that it’s quite challenging to sit and eat cheese whilst speculating idly about a merge that may not happen.
Once again my boy Lex does the dumb thing and tells the person that’s leaving that they’re leaving. I was nervous for him when he did it with Ethan and I was nervous when he did it with Jerri.
Anyone else think that they just won’t merge the tribes? They’ve gone past the point where it normally happens and is there any reason that it can’t just go until 1 tribe only has 2 people (whose votes would obviously cancel each other out)? I’d like to see the new Mogo Mogo decimate the new Chapera until Lex and Kathy are just rattling around in that shelter alone.
Nah, they’ll merge next week. If they’re going to have a jury of 9, all nine need to spend time together.
I was glad to see Amber and Rob placed on different teams. It creates some interesting tension. It will be short lived however as they will be merging very soon.
I really cannot believe that Rob has made it this far. Of course, he probably would have been long gone if the other team had the ability to win an immunity challenge. I will be sorely disappointed if he wins the million.
First of all there is nothing that says all nine need to spend time together. Second of all I’m not aware of anything set in stone that says they need a jury of 9 or a jury at all. How about a jury of 13, or a jury of 3. I think they should throw every curveball in the book at people who are being rules lawyers*. Screw with them, change the format, this pussy pseudo-gamemanship is just anyoying. play the game to a deathmatch and screw the vote alltogether, hehe.
[sub]*Rules lawyer is term from role playing about people who try to manipulate everything that written. People who play a highlander but grab a zwiehander over a claymore becuase it does 1pt more damage. A good DM in role playing screws over people who don’t play toward the spirit of the game, and thats what I’m hoping for this. C’mon Probst screw over people playing the details of the expected format, rather then trying to play point of the game.[/sub]
That’s what I’m hoping… maybe they’re bring back everyone for the jury. Or maybe they’re just have the final three or five vote. Change things around - that’s what they keep saying about this version - expect lots of twists.
Except that Rob is controlling BOTH teams, I’d agree with you. How many consecutive moronic decisions from Lex is this now?
Hmmmm. I like this idea for the All Stars. It would change the game too much for the regular version, but this would be a great twist for this group.
