In past seasons (3, 4 & 5), I got really involved in trying to spoil the season, and frankly, it just wasn’t as much fun. Last season, I avoided any spoiler (which is damn hard to do), and I enjoyed watching so much more. Not sure what I’ll do this time around. I didn’t like last season from when Rob fell of the plank to the end. Otherwise, it was great.

yes i am, David. Not so much last season, but in previous seasons I was rabid. Not sure if I’ll pick it back up for this one, but I browse some of the Survivor boards and its hard to avoid every spoiler/speculation. At the start of the season, they seem to be everywhere since diehard fans are so starved for information.
forgot to add: there were a few “spoils” that I had first. One of them got picked up by smokinggun.com. (ok, blatantly tooting my own horn!)

For the women: Trish and Sandra: post merge/jury. Michelle could go either way, but my gut tells me she’ll be past first jury member. Darrah, Christie & Nicole, could be all pre-jury boots if they play the sex card too much. Why? Christie has already said slyly that she has no problem getting naked on TV, and in the ET previews is already seen hugging a male castmate closely. Nicole isn’t discounting a “relationship”, real or fake, to get her far. Darrah could be also be an early boot, considering her application video (bikini in a casket – eww!). Also – Lillian? Sorry. An assertive over-50 female has never made it past number 2. (Kim Johnson was not assertive). I hope she surprises us.
Guys: Ryan S. is waaay one of the first gone. Did someone here say opinionated/condescending? Yup. Andrew is gonna’ try too hard. Jon - toast. Early. Either right before or right after Ryan. I can’t get a bead on any of the other guys. Maybe because I think they’re all cute!!
Woo Hoo, time to start the insantity again!
It will be hard to top last season. I can’t wait to see what new twists they come up with.
Jeff P was on The Morning Show this morning and he said that this Surivor is full of “skin” that there never has been more nakedness on the screen since Ritchard Hatch stripped to his birthday suit. He said the first challenge they did forced 3 men to end up totally nude.

ahem (composing myself). What on earth kind of challenge would force them to end up nude? That sounds involuntary.
He (Jeff) did say that Burnett was happy that he tried the whole gender tribe “once” but didn’t want to seperate the men/women again. He was happy with mixing the teams. He (Burnett) said that it allows the challenges to be more physical. Jeff said to look for the challenges to be the hardest ever.
I did not hear how the men ended up naked. But of course you know they will “blur” out the good stuff.
Drake and Morgan? At least this year, it won’t be half a season before I can spell the tribe names.

I agree that last year’s series went off in a wrong direction. The gender element belongs on Paradise Hotel or Temptation Island, not Survivor. It threw off the pace of the whole season, especially when it appears that the final vote was decided on the basis of who was cutest.
I thought last season actually was the best since the first one. It was completely unpredictable (if you didn’t pay attention to spoilers). Finally, we didn’t have one group systematically picking off the other until there were only two left from that group.
From recounts of radio interviews, the reason why some of the men ended up naked in the first challenge was because since they only had the clothes on their backs, they wanted to save them. I don’t know if that means save from getting wet, torn, dirty, or whatever.
It appears they didn’t do their background checking thoroughly enough this time. Don’t look if you don’t want your opinion of a couple of the contestants biased:
They found some old message board postings that Christa and Ryan S. made. Christa is apparently a big coke head. Ryan is gay and also a druggie.
I think this might be an interesting season tho.
Hagrid’s my favorite so far. He’s the only one who has extra weight on him. Those other guys aren’t going to do very well if food is tight.

Hagrid is also my favorite, even though initially he wasn’t. Unfortunately, I’m not sure a character like him is going to be able to fly under the radar. From other boards, its clear he is a fan favorite everywhere!
Question about what you should/should not post in here: is it ok to mention stuff that already printed articles have discussed (not spoiler stuff like who’s leaving first for example - I hate knowing that stuff ahead of time). So many different boards, so many different rules…
