Survivor Seaon 33 Starts Tonight (Also RE: TAR)

No they don’t, Just saw Taylor’s Ponderosa video, Figgy left him a letter.

I think Survivors voted out before the jury stick around the Ponderosa resort until the last one before the jury is voted and they either get moved to a new resort (or take a cruise.

It was a interesting tribal council last night. Looked like Hannah was about to have another panic attack.

Jay voted for Taylor, and Will voted for Jay.

Kind of interesting that the last four eliminated were all Millenials, and no one seems to be taking note of it. Are they really that indifferent to the original Tribal premise, or are the editors just not showing us that?

I also don’t get Sunday’s ambition to get rid of Jessica. I haven’t seen any reason for antagonism between the two, and there would seem to be a lot of people more likely to be real competition toward the end. Or is that maybe why? Sunday knows she needs to make some ‘game moves’ to have an argument if she does make the finals, and she doesn’t feel strong enough to go after anyone more powerful?

It’s too bad they weren’t. The videos probably would have become really uncomfortable when Figs found out about Taylor’s pregnant girlfriend at home.

I know at least once in an interview Probst said he would prefer if they could sequester the jury members from each other so they’re all voting purely on information they had when they left the tribe, but it’s logistically impossible to do so.

I think Taylor played that fairly well consider the utterly desperate situation he and Jay were in. He perhaps should have been more apologetic for eating the food, but then of course he wouldn’t be who he is. Adam on the other handled it very poorly, he’s somewhat lucky in my view that he didn’t go home. If not for such a massive betrayal by Taylor (stealing food? That’s a paddlin’) I think he would have. I mean come on you never say “… then just vote me out.” No, never, ever. He’s doomed as his trust level must be in the absolute dirt. And he’s just been playing so badly. He talks WAY too much to the opposition. Doomed. Doomed. Doomed. I think he might be the next to go. Jay will be safeish with the idol and everybody knowing about it.

I thought she was just showing how funny/embarrassing she thought the whole situation was.

I am no privy to any spoilers, but I think Sunday goes home next. She has almost been invisible for the last few weeks and suddenly she has about 4 or 5 confessionals. That’s usually a leading indicator for impending boot.

BTW…its a double episode next Wednesday. They got 11 survivors left and only about 5 weeks left.

Apart from not voting for Jay. If it’s down to you and one other person, vote for that person - as Jay did.

Ken and David are still my top two favorites, but Ken is absolutely awful in challenges. Just terrible.

You know how this season has had a ton of amazing come-from-behind wins during challenges? Most of the time, the team that came from behind did so because Ken totally choked a huge lead.

Entertaining enough episode, even though if you made a guess as to who would be voted out beforehand and who actually got voted out, it was the same person. Just took an interesting route to get there.

I agree that I don’t understand Adam’s gameplay at all. I didn’t interpret his convo with Jay as gloating, but he does seem to explain everything that’s going on and gives far too much away. I guess he figures this will help people understand him and like him but it obviously doesn’t work that way.

Was thinking the same thing.

You are confusing Ken with David. Ken won the IC last night.

Taylor doesn’t strike me as vindictive but that’s the sort of move that can make Taylor not give you his vote from the jury, so it is risky. Probably safe with Taylor because I don’t think he’ll hold a grudge. I do agree with you though that better to anger a jury member than be voted out, but it is tricky, which is what I adore about Survivor.

No, I’m not.

Remember the big come-from-behind win where you had to toss balls in the air to land/balance on a log? Michaela’s team was way, way, way behind in that challenge, but then Michaela started on the ball tossing and bap bap bap, skyrocketing her team from last to first? Then the second place team managed to also pass up the original leaders? So the original leaders, with a MASSIVE head start going into the ball balancing, ended up choking on those balls (hehheh) so hard that they had to go to tribal? That was Ken choking on those balls. (I swear I’m 12 years old.)

Remember that big come-from-behind win where you basically played basketball, shooting balls into a net really far into the water? And you had a choice if you wanted to spend the time dragging the net closer to make it easier or if you just wanted to shoot it straight up? Ken also choked that one away, IIRC.

How about the giant slingshot one, where you shoot sandbags to knock down 5 targets? Ken was totally choking that one, but lucky for him Taylor almost singlehandedly won it for them.

Ken has been the reason for the all the come-from-behind challenges, because his team keeps giving him a huge lead and he totally chokes it away. Notice how his tribe kept going to tribal council, even after he and David got split up? There’s a reason for that, and that reason’s name is Ken.

Missed the edit window…

I’m pretty sure that was challenge where David was so pathetic that we heard his teammates saying “Is he throwing this?” David couldn’t swim his ball to the platform, then when he finally got on the platform he let his ball roll off so he had to get back into the water.

David’s team didn’t lose that challenge, Ken’s did, because even though Ken’s team got to the end first, Ken choked away their massive lead.

Poor Will wasn’t allowed to drink beer, even though they’re not filming anywhere near the US. As the surfer dudes would say, BOGUS.

Ken was the major cause of the wins in Ep 2 and 4. And he won II this week. I guess we’ll see going forward how good he is.

I think the problem is Ken looks athletic, so he always got put in the “shoot the ball in the hoop, etc.” spot, when he’s not really that good at it.

Looks like Wednesday will be a double episode.

I can’t shake the feeling that this season is heavily producer-influenced. My understanding is that the producers talk to each contestant each day (morning?) or something like that (based on what I read on one of our threads) and it would seem to lend some logic as to why Adam would blindside Figgy and why those millennials had such a flash of inspiration to get rid of Michaela, who really would have been the right person to lead them into the finals. And the same with Sunday, a pretty even-keel person, having it out for Jessica for very little reason.

The other explanation is that we’re seeing 72 hours condensed down to 45 minutes, so there’s a lot we’re not seeing.

Wasn’t Jessica who blabbed the Ken/David plan to the tribe alpha (I don’t remember his name - Paul maybe?)? She patched that up, and it seems like water under the bridge now so no telling.
