Survivor Season 32 -- Is it too soon to care?

You might want to check the audio settings on your TV. If the balance is off, or you have it set on some specialty mode, it could be pushing the background audio higher than the dialogue. Just a thought. Anyway, I haven’t noticed it.

Maybe both? With Tai and Jason at odds now, and Neal’s idol gone, I doubt the super idol will ever come into play, unless a new one shows up.

They’ll probably replace Neal’s idol - that’s what they did when Colton took his home after he was evacuated/quit.

Tai voted against Jason, but does Jason know that?

It’s Jason, possibly one of the best bounty hunters in southeastern Michigan - do you really think he’s not going to find out who voted for him? Seriously, no one’s going to be able to sleep, eat, or go to the bathroom until someone admits they voted for him.

Jesus, Scot and Kyle Jason are just absolute douchebags. And Tai is following along with them. I’ve lost any and all respect for him, and he was my favorite until tonight.

survivor behavior is reaching all time lows and the girls judgement to not flush the (super) idol out is horrible game play. the other 5 still dont know what the super idol does. very strange season… its not very enjoyable.

Well, Tai does have two idols now. Dumb of the other two guys to actually give it to him, but smarts ain’t their strong point.

Yeah, the guys’ level of asshole was matched only by the girls’ level of stupidity.

One of the girls knows about the super idol, though I’m not sure if she’s still on the island. When Tai told Scott about his idol, there was a girl there in the conversation. Does anyone remember that scene? Who was the girl, and did the super idol come up? (I think I remember it did.)

I was aghast at how stupid pretty much every girl was:

  • Debbie: Totally steamroll your alliance, not reading the room AT ALL
  • Julia: Vote out your biggest ally? Seriously?
  • Everyone else: Instead of flushing out both idols, let’s leave them both in the game and vote out one of our own instead.

They all deserve to lose, and it’s really hard to root for any of them. I guess at this point I’m backing…uh…Julia? At least she’s playing the game? I don’t know, that’s a reach but everyone else is worse.

Yeah, this should be called Survivor: Loser Island. I’m just glad they voted Debbie out because she’s the most irritating of the ladies. The guys are just big, fat rolls of tattoos. Tai is such an oddball, I don’t know what to think.

So let me get this straight…the girls thought they had a 6-3 majority; worst case, 5-4 if Julia flipped. So their strategy was: let’s vote out one of our own?

If anything, I think Tai’s dousing the fire was worse than Scott’s. Scott did it in the heat of the moment, and openly in front of everyone.

Tai thinks it over for hours, then sneaks out and does it secretly at night, and then pretends he doesn’t know what happened.

It reminded me of how Mr. I Love All Nature pulled those trees up by their roots with a perfunctory “Sorry, but I want something that’s under you” comment.
What might have been interesting, though: Scott and Jason go through their rock-paper-scissor charade and give the idol to Tai … but the girls had still cast their votes for one of them, say, Scott. So Jeff reads the votes and it gets down to the final tally, say five for Scott, three for Cyndi, and one for, oh, let’s say Aubrey. So the guys are smirking at each other as the votes are read, and now Jeff announces the final tally and there’s a pregnant pause… and Tai says nothing.

After all, what’s better than having TWO Idols to play on yourself later on?

I think watching Scott and Jason’s heads explode would be entertaining.

I thought they all know about the super idol? Didn’t Tai let the secret out at last week’s tribal council?

Perhaps, but Tai did this secretly, making it look like Scott (or Kyle) doused the fire a second time… definitely a dick move, but highly intelligent, especially since it is so out of character for Tai to do this that the girls/Joe may not suspect him and going into TC would look to vote him out AFTER Jason and Kyle.

I wonder if the producers told them that to get the Wonder Twin powers to activate, someone must legally possess both HII’s before the votes are read, at which point they can choose to assemble the Super idol and use it however they wish. It makes the super idol a little less powerful and adds a little bit of drama, since it requires one owner to trust the other.

Note that Jason stated “I am giving my idol to Tai”, and Tai clearly stated “I accept the idol.” I assume they did that to show it was a full transfer, and Jason has no way to get the idol back unless Tai freely gives it to him.

That was one of the stupidest moves I have ever seen. :eek:Vote out a loyal ally? Hey, why not at least make the guys burn the idol, which would also get rid of Debby?

I still kinda like Tai, but even he did a dick move. Jason and Scott have revealed themselves the be total douchebags.

I’m not going to defend their decision, but I don’t any way to flush the idol and get rid of Debby at the same time (assuming Julia flips).

If they spilt the votes between Scot and Jason, Cydney gets voted out 4-3-2. If they don’t split the votes and the guys use their idol on the correct person, Cydney gets voted out 4-0.

True, but part of their massive stupidity was targeting Debbie in the first place.

I dont remember the girls being sure who the Boys were going to vote for?

Scot and Jason maybe, Jesus thinks he has it under control.
