Brains, Brawn and Beauty? You’ve got to be kidding me!
Aubry or Anna for the win.
The Beauty tribe is, to me… not too pretty.
I’m not sure how they’re defining “brawn,” looking at Alecia, the real estate agent.
In general, I think they wanted to try the BBB model again, but didn’t bother to wait until they had three clearly-defined groups of people. Some of these people don’t seem to fit, other than “not the other two”.
Incidentally, for those who also follow Big Brother, one of the contestants this season will be Caleb, “Beastmode Cowboy”. I’m still ambivalent as to whether that will be entertaining or just annoying…
Right there with you! My vote is for Option 2. I anticipate his leaving the game by Episode 3.
The old guy on the right won’t last more than 2 TCs.
When three tribes merge into two, one is typically wiped out because it’s the minority in the two resulting tribes. That kind of predictability is always annoying. I hope they manage to avoid it.
Of course the brilliant thing about Survivor is that the very real risk of a bad season makes you appreciate the good ones so much more.
I wish though that they’d go back to showing a bit more about the actual survivoring. All the challenges can get a bit tedious.
I would have thought the Age 51 guy (with black glasses) would have been a BRAINS tribe and not a beauty tribe.
I had Caleb pigeon holed for Brawn, and not beauty.
Ice Cream entrepreneur is a Brains?
Jack LaLanne wannabe is Brains and not Brawn? (72 yr old FBI Agent)
Last time around, the relatively low physical ability of the Brains (Tasha notwithstanding) caused them to suffer in the challenges. They seem to have picked some strong people for the brains, some pretty people for brains & brawn, and… I’m not sure what for Beauty. They’re certainly not any prettier than the people on the other two teams. They may be hoping they’ll throw themselves headlong into their tribal demographics like they did on Blue/White/No collar.
IMO, it is producer creative editing that helped put Different Worlds Cast into their “Role”. They want to tell a story so they will edit.
Similar to the manufactured drama of the Blood vs Water seasons, which I think were two of the worst seasons ever on survivor. I hated the first one (Colton, Rupert) and could barely tolerate the second one.
Last season was edited towards players trying to redeem themselves from past mistakes, recycling old challenges that the players had previously failed at. Lets just do survivor instead of a theme that they constantly shove down our throat.
Man, I sound bitter tonight. Maybe its the bitter cold and wind and snow.
For me, it’s too soon to care.
I’d like to see more surviving, not every other day being feasts, spa trips, and comforts handed out. Last season looked like Gilligan’s Island. I’d also like less time to be spent covering the tedious challenges. I’d like them to show more of who’s really aligned and what personalities are really like, because I can’t follow why people vote the way they do lately.
I haven’t been much of a TV watcher since I joined the Navy in 1980 (or since I’ve been out), but has that thing really been going on for thirty-two YEARS???
No, “only” 16 years, they have two seasons each year.
My leaky brain – what happened with the first time they did BBB? I vaguely remember the Brains got killed in the early challenges, but I don’t remember who won or which tribe they were from.
The Brooklyn(?) cop from the Brawns won, didn’t he?
These links may help:
These poor folks have had to wait longer than anyone for their season to air. They filmed before the last season, but have had to sit and wait and extra bunch of months for it to air.
They began March 2015, but it airs in Feb. 2016. Yikes.
Any particular reason for this?
I’m planning to try a new approach the upcoming season: watch it as it airs rather than save up the whole thing and binge.
Thanks for the links – I should have realized Wikipedia would have all the gory details.
So… Brawn massively triumphed last time, with Beauty in second place.
I have to agree that so far the tribe assignments look almost random: Well, you’re not strong or beautiful, so I guess you’re smart…
Been a while since we had any thoughts to share about this thing…
Are you ready yet?
