Two challenges with “pots” on 4/20. Hehehe
As this was filmed over a year ago, I wonder if that was planned?

Carnage. Won’t someone think of the crockery?
Pretty awesome. I was cheering for Tai to keep the Idol but didn’t think he’d actually do it (blah blah playing the game honestly etc.)
I thought the Idol pieces had to be with the same person before using it as the Super Idol, though. The editing here made it look like you could give the person the other Idol afterwards and still play it afterwards. Ah well, moot point with the Brawn idol out of the game now.
Tai almost redeemed himself tonight. Almost.
Still, it makes sense that he didn’t give up the idol. If Scot was saved, they would have had to revote, and Tai would probably have been voted out.
Nice blindside. Jason is next, I presume. But they have to want to get rid of Tai, too. I think Tai is the bigger threat.
Agreed. The late-game immunity challenges tend to stress things like balance and endurance, and Tai has shown an aptitude for those.
Jason’s an arrogant jerk, and if he made it to the final three, he’d probably get only one vote (from Scot). Tai would be much harder to beat.
Yeah, but Tai caused that situation to begin with by voting for Scot and making it 4-2-2. if he voted for Aubry with the two guys, it’d be 3-3-2, with Scot and Aubry tied, play the idol and Aubry goes home with no revote.
Yeah. why would he give an idle to someone he voted for? Once the vote was cast, the idle wasn’t going anywhere.
tai has the ‘extra vote’, an idol and has won many challenges. he’s a marked man.
game is on!
all that trash talk and scott got bitch slapped. lol.
A really smart move by Tai! And one less asshole/douchebag.
I think it’s fascinating that the first time the new concept Super Idol is in play, it turns out to be a moment of treachery. Says something about human nature, maybe. ![]()
I can imagine the brainstorm meeting where this came up:
So, two people can join forces and combine HI’s, after the vote? Sounds great. I guess you’d really have to trust your partner…but c’mon, how often would that kind of back-stabbing happen?
Nobody but Tai knows that he has the extra vote.
But they all know he has an advantage of some kind. When Scot arrived back at Ponderosa they were speculating that it was another idol.
so if Tai had used the super idol to save Scot, then it would be a run off between Tai and Aubrey with no idol to save him. Jason is pissed off when I doubt he would have acted any different.
Somewhat exacerbated by the fact that Tai going off-plan in the voting (he was supposed to vote Aubrey with the other two, which would have tied SCOT and Aubrey) made the refusal necessary. Well…that’s a little off. It’s far more likely that Tai voted Scot so that he COULD refuse the idol to him on grounds of self-preservation.
Since Scot was voted off with Kyle Jason’s idol in his pocket, I would expect that it will come back into play soon.
Pride goeth before the fall, Scot. Soooo glad to see that asswipe voted off.
Is there any rule that prevented him from giving the idol back to Kyle before he left?
Or did they just forget in all the drama?
According to some of the Podcasts I have heard from RobHasaWebsite, yes, there is a rule against it. Shirin and Fishback both have said it is against the rules.
“The decision is final and you will have to leave immediately”. Many have walked off with idols in their pockets, some with two idols.
