Of course he has. Let us not forget when Coach led the “group prayer” to find the hidden immunity idol…that he already had in his pocket.:dubious:
I loved Coach’s contradictory statement that “I’m pissed, but I’m at peace.”
Hell, technically I’m a Christian(super doubting Christian, tho) , and I think this is giving religion a bad name. I mean, it’s on thing for a brief moment of non-denominational prayer circle or a fervent “Thank God”! but this is going hwaaaaay over the line.
I watched with my Christian daughter, who shouted “God doesn’t care who wins your stupid game!!”
Agreed that Coach has Found Jeezus solely for the purposes of manipulating his team. And that I’m surprised that Ozzy is running the table at challenges that involve puzzles as well as athletics. He is truly a challenge monster, although not much of a strategist.
Russell the Sociopath halfway killed the show. Coach the Asshole Christian is about to completely destroy it. I only watch it right now to keep my husband company. He likes a good trainwreck.
I think bringing back Survivor “stars” is killing the show. The Boston Rob season was great, but I don’t find Coach or Ozzie interesting and the fact that they start with such a huge leg up really kills the suspense.
While I agree that bringing back previous contestants (read: stars) does not make for the “Survivor season” that I look forward to, it does make for compelling viewing. I have always viewed this show as a large social psychology experiment. The fact that two tribes reacted completely opposite on how to “deal with the star” on their tribe (e.g., vote them off vs. embrace them) both are still around. Also, the fact that “new” contestants think they “need” the “star” to teach them how to build a camp or get a leg up in the game is very odd, given that most previous seasons had nothing but rookies.
Personally, I would give up Redemption Island, and go back to a final 2 long before I would stop bringing back “stars”
Final 2 puts too much emphasis on the final immunity and led several times to the most deserving player getting voted out in third (Rob Cesternino comes to mind). What needs to make a return is the pre-merge tribe shakeup–the early alliance of five is so obviously a dominant strategy but is terribly boring to watch.
Just a heads up, folks - CBS has the NFL double header this weekend, so there’s a pretty good chance Survivor will be delayed. Set your DVRs accordingly.
Like 2 hours of Survivor at once isn’t long enough without making it so it ends after 10:30…
Tim Tebow and Broncos are the featured game.
Coincidence? or Divine Intervention?
3 hours if you include the reunion.
Speaking of the reunion, who do you guys think will be featured the most heavily: Coach, Ozzy, Brandon, or Cochran?
I never watch the whole reunion show. I can barely watch it for 2 hours straight let alone 3. I only watch up until the winner is announced.
Russell.
Not sure if anyone mentioned this, I haven’t read the full thread.
Brandon was stupid, not for giving his idol, but giving his idol before he can gauge the tribe at Tribal Council. He should’ve held the idol untill Jeff said it’s time to vote, then make his move or change his mind.
You’re absolutely correct, but this is Brandon we’re talking about. This is the Brandon who “is a man of his word”, and by golly, if he swears to give Albert the immunity necklace, then that’s what he’ll do, even if it means going to RI.
I’m sure Brandon thinks he’s playing with integrity and is willing to “fall on the sword” because of it, but it was a stupid, stupid move. It makes me want to slap the back of his head a la Gibbs.
Yep, whenever someone says they’re going to give up an idol, I never believe that they will. But I knew Brandon would. He didn’t wait to see how tribal went because he didn’t want to be swayed. He had to keep his word.
The 2nd game doesn’t show on Comcast’s on-screen guide for me, but I assume us folks on the West Coast wouldn’t be affected, right?
I guess Ozzy can always get struck by lightning just before winning the RI duel,
As crazy as Brandon is, he can do well in certain challenges. Ozzie has his work cut out for him.
