Why are all of these suspension announcements showing up as new posts?
It’s the new suspension-ban tag.
Because old pre-discourse ones are getting tagged and Discourse is not handling it correctly.
I have to manually reset the timestamp of the thread after adding the tag to fix this. Live and learn.
The ones being tagged that were under Discourse are fine.
Some of the old ones are fine which is odd.
Well then, happy Friday afternoon timestamp resetting!

Rather than change the timestamp, I found that under the Wrench 
for us is Reset Bump Date and it fixes the problem.
It was a trip down Memory Lane.

Can always click on the suspension-banning tag to see all that I’ve tagged. It is the reason I’m doing this. It looks like I’ll only tag 2019 forward though.
I found it hard to locate a specific suspension this week and decided today to add a tag for it.
When the board becomes sentient and bans/kills all of us I know who my first suspect is going to be.
I thought there was an early point in Straight Dope history where it decided to ban everyone? Anyone know?
