Sweating after drinking water

Does anyone know why people tend to sweat after drinking water? Is it something that happens to everyone, or does it indicate dehydration?

I have never heard of this or experienced it. How many people do you know that this happens to? Does it happen to you? Are you drinking cold or hot water?

I wonder more about the pee shiver, because in winter time, micturition can actually make you feel warmer.

I have no idea what you’re talking about. It’s like asking why people tend to hear roosters crowing when they put on their shoes.

Happens to me all the time. I don’t think it’s dehydration in the clinical sense, so much as no longer being overhydrated. So long as the body has excess water, it will waste it perspiring. As soon as the available water falls to a level that is only sufficient for homeostasis, perspiration decreases.

Yeah, I thought it was just me, but when I googled for the answer, I noticed there were a lot of other people asking the question, but no real answers. Plus, since it wasn’t only me, I figured it wasn’t a medical question.

The reason I ask if it is dehydration is that I wonder if it would go away if I drank more. And, yes, it is cold water, if that makes a difference.
