Frankly, this is WAY more exciting than the birth of our Lord and Savior. I finished my last exam yesterday at 4:45 PM. As this is my first semester as a full time student, I get to celebrate Winter Break! AND I just turned 21! Yahooie!
One month of working 25 hours or so a week, and NOTHING ELSE OF SUBSTANCE. Ahhhh…it’ll make up for only having three days off (no work OR school) in the past 4 months.
What should I do? Cleaning the Swiddle Party Pad is my number one priority. It’s icky, and I just haven’t had the time to go Donna Reed on it. Cleaning out my car, Skipperdee, is number two. It’s worse than the SPP. Any other suggestions? Trashy mystery books and lattes sound nice. Keep in mind I have very little money (see 25 hours of work a week,), no cable, and live in a realitively small town. Woohoo! Being a college student beats being a Real World Dweller ANY day. (or at least THIS one…)
Congrats, Swiddles! I just finished, too (paper in at 10AM this morning!). I plan to play the guitar, sew, clean, rearrange furniture, do research for a fun presentation when I get back (yes, I’m aware that that makes me a sick, sick person) . . . and, I don’t konw. Stuff. Sleep. Drink Hot Chocolate.
Swiddles, (May I call you that? We’ve never been formally introduced.), congrats on finishing and happy belated brithday. I just finished this morning, myself, and I’ll turn 19 in just over a week, which is just as good in Ontario. So I understand how sweet it all is!
My suggestions:
[ul]
[li]read a book[/li][li]sleep in late[/li][li]read another book[/li][li]Day trips to Boston (woohoo!) are always good[/li][li]read another book[/li][li]Do some work for next semester (scary, I know, but a good idea nonetheless)[/li][*}Catch up with friends who go to school out of state
[li]What, you still have extra time? Go figure out what you’re doing for New Year’s Eve or something! :)[/li][li]Still need another suggestion? See #1…[/li][/ul]
Enjoy the break!
Good to hear Swiddles. Congrats.
Suggestions: read lots; spend more time on the boards; learn something new (not because you have to but because you can) - rules of cricket perhaps ; write poetry; dance naked in the privacy of your own home; correspond with people overseas, and; plot to take over the world.
Just off the top of my head mind you…
