I think stuyguy was referring to the Brooklyn Museum of Art, which is jammed right up against the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens.
HAH! Caught him! It’s the BROOKLYN MUSEUM, not the Brooklyn Museum of Art! Although the Brooklyn Museum is currently devoted to art, they used to have all SORTS of shit in there…whales, dinosaurs, shrunken heads…
But I could be wrong. Perhaps he was thinking of the New York Botanic Gardens, which are in the Bronx, and BMA stands for the “Bronx Mettwurst Alliance,” a club for those devoted to delicious spreadable smoked sausage.
As readers of Slythe’s “Vacation Advice” thread already know, I totally endorse Slinky’s suggestion of outer-borough sightseeing and dining.

Okay, you’re right, as of a few years ago that Grand Old Institution, the Brooklyn Museum, decided to go with “Brooklyn Museum of Art.” I’m not up-to-date. Flay me. Go ahead and flay me.
Soooo…I guess you call Sixth Avenue the “Avenue of the Americas” too, huh?
