Swiss Army Knife vs. multitool (Gerber, Leatherman, etc.)

SAK’s were something I wanted as a kid. I’ve moved on. I’d much rather have a decent pair of pliers and wire cutter/stripper along with a knife and a couple of screw drivers. Actually, leave out the knife. I can carry around a cheap heavy duty knife from harbor freight for utility work.

None of them are going to replace my “good knives” which I keep nicely sharpened.

My blade is a knife. Small folding blade with a short serrated area and a belt clip. Currently in the market for a new one. Broke the tip on the one I carry now.

Seeing as I drive my toolbox everywhere I go. I don’t don’t need to carry compromises in my pocket.

Victorinox Huntsman for me. I use it daily.
