Jesus H.! That “Knife” is incredible! I’ve got one with thirteen tools and thought THAT was cool!
What’s the price on that puppy?
I haven’t checked since sometime last year, but IIRC it’s about $1,200. Limited edition.
It must be an exhibition piece. Unless it was made to be carried around in a backpack. I wonder what it weighs? Or even if it could be used in a practical situation?
I doubt it. Still want one though.
Jake - my brother saw an interview on Swiss TV where someone from Wenger was talking about it when it was introduced. It is totally useless, only meant for show. It would be really hard to use the blades in the middle. It weights about 1.2 Kg (approx. 3 pounds) and costs, like Johnny L.A. said, around 1200 - 1400 USD.
Here’s a game for someone to play:
Figure out the minimum number of Swiss Army Knives – either Wenger or Victorinox (single brand only, please) – to replicate the functions of the Wenger Giant Knife with the fewest duplications of blades, plus the total MSRP.
To be honest, it’s the only thing I ever use on a SAK.
I have used a succession of SAK’s for over 20 years. I prefer the little tiny key chain model. I use them until they break, then replace.
I’m on my 5th one, I love 'em!
I’ve always found eBay to be the best place to buy Victorinox SAKs. They do make one-hand-openers now too. There is also a model with a pocket clip.
