I’m hoping for any Dopers that live or have spent considerable time in Sydney to come up with some good dining suggestions for a company dinner to be held in October of this year.
The limiting factor is that the restaurant must be able to cater for 40 people, which I more than expect will mean a set menu (no big deal). Price isn’t too much of an issue (at this stage). I should also note that Aria and Rockpool are already under consideration.
Any suggestions appreciated, McDonald’s excepted.
On a couple of previous trips to Sydney, we’ve had dinner and yum cha lunch at the Regal and Marigold restaurants in Haymarket. The Regal is 347-353 Sussex Street, Sydney, and the Marigold is Levels 4 & 5, 683-689 George Street.
The Marigold did yum cha for 150+ seamlessly, and the Regal did dinner for 50 or so just as smoothly.
Site.
If it’s dinner and you want Chinese food, I recommend Golden Century over the Marigold. Marigold is great for lunch but Golden Century is better for dinner.
Cheers for those.
Not particularly for or against Chinese.
