Synchronicity

So I was chatting on AIM with a friend about a movie I saw last night - The Forbidden Zone, directed by Richard Elfman.

As an aside, it’s a very bizarre movie, but I’m not here to talk about the movie, else I’d have started this in CS.

It features Herve Villachaize (Spelling approximated) as King Fausto of the Sixth Dimension.

Well, right after recappnig the film, I headed out for lunch, with midgets on my mind.

Which brings me around to singing. Yes, I was singing as I drove to get my lunch. The song? ‘I Have a Theory’ from Buffy’s musical episode. Why? ‘It could be midgets…’

Linking it back with Tattoo, you see.

So there I am, belting out Anya’s Bunny theory, when a rabbit crosses the road in front of me.

I love coincidence.

Another meaningful coincidence in Jung’s book. I also love synchronicity.

I heard an NPR report a few weeks ago about a band called Pink Martini. I thought “that sounds really cool,” and made a note to track them down. On my way to work the other day I was listening to “Je ne peux pas travailler,” and humming it all day long. My wife finally, after dinner, asked me to stop singing it. I stopped.

We sat down to watch an episode of The West Wing which had just come on Netflix, and lo and behold, at the outdoor café where Leo is taking the staff to breakfast, what song is playing in the background?

It wasn’t the Macarena, that’s for sure.

Je ne peux pas travailler…

For some weird Dopenicity, check out posts 2 and 3 on this page. I was a little freaked when the #2 appeared.

Of course, it might help if I managed to link to the page :smack:
