I have a computer I use at work, and one I use at home, and occasionally use available computers in courses.
I have found great use of internet software that allows synchronization between the computers. For example:
a) AIM version 4.3 now allows the “buddy list” to be updated every time it is used, from every computer. So if I add or remove a buddy from one computer, the next time I log on to AIM on different computer, the changes will appear.
b) I use Hotmail with Outlook Express. There is a synchronization feature for the address book that also allows an update of Hotmail’s address book, and that address book can be downloaded to Outlook Express. This is much better than simply emailing myself my address book, because both addresses added and removed are updated.
My question is: is there anything parallel to this for Internet Explorer? I add, remove, and change bookmarks (favorites) often at home and at work, but I would like an easy way to have an updated common list in both places. Again, I could email the bookmark.htm file, but then that would either totally replace the original file, or if I merged it, it would create duplicates of every entry.
Any ideas?
