Sysocmgr.exe

Okay, i’m kinda sketchy on the details here so bare with me. I’m trying to help my wife’s grandmother with her computer problem. When she start’s her computer up (P2 running windows '98) she gets an error that says “can’t find c:/windows/sysocmgr.exe”. So I figured that i’d send her the file via email, copy it into her windows folder and that would be that. However, after that was done, the error then says that it can’t run ocmanage.dll.

I’m assuming that it is a conflict in one of the startup programs, but how can I find out which program the sysocmgr.exe file is associated with? OR if that isn’t the problem, can anyone tell me what I should do???

I know absolutely nothing on the subject, but found this for you:

The two files seem to work together with during the add/remove program process. Sorry, don’t know anything more.
