Taco Bell Menu Changes.....what????

Yeah, I think they’re much more likely to go in the Taco Time direction, and content themselves with offering three ingredients in various combinations. I wish we had Taco Bell in the food court. Luxury!

TheKid is boycotting Taco Bell. She loved the Cheese Double Beef Burrito, which they have removed from the menu. The cashier talked her into the Frito one, sans Fritos, saying it was basically the same, but I guess it’s not. Yet, they will still make my Cheesarito which hasn’t been on the menu for years. Go figure.

Used the drive thru, didn’t you?

or maybe if you want a beef burrito, one could order an enchirito, cheese and onions, tomato and lettuce, inside… no sauce.

Or hell, for my money, I would order an enchirito, cheese and onions, tomato and lettuce, inside- extra gravy {understood cheese and onion and red gravy to top}. Have myself a wet burrito.

Sour cream and Guac on the inside, too, maybe some rice… all to properly moisten.

sure you’re not confusing it with the Big Boy? As I understand the Big Mac was pretty much a clone (in terms of ingredients) of the big Boy. But it’s been at least a decade since I’ve had one, so I don’t know if the Big Boy is actually larger.

I didn’t see the chili cheese burrito on the menu when I stopped by last. It would be a real shame if they’re no longer making it.

Absolutely sure. I’ve never been to Big Boy.

But I do remember when you could see the edges of the patties lined up with the edges of the bun. These days, the edges are all bun, 'cause the patty is actually slightly smaller than the bun.

I think they dropped it a few years ago.

Oh yea, no more chilitos. Long gone, unless you ask for an enchirito with beans cheese and gravy on the inside

Beef, beans, cheese, gravy and onions. Forgot about the onions in the chilito… the chili ain’t the same unless they use the beans off the “healthy” “fresca” menu.

Red gravy, the refried beans, and beef ain’t quite the same as the chilitos… wonder if they had a special chilli for the chilito?

You’re right about the Big Mac. For awhile there on my FB page people were really pissed off about the change.

I miss Tostadas. They were messy to eat, but they were friggin awesome.

Does Taco Bell still have the round thing? I forgot what it’s called, but when I ask them for it, they know what I mean. Do they still have the shrimp burritos? Probably not, huh?

The only changes I’ve ever seen in Taco Bell, since everything is basically the same, is the price (which is bound to go up) or the new name of an old product.

Tostada and no.

My Taco Bell standy is the homely basic taco. Despite all the mutant taco variations Taco Bell keeps coming up with I figure the day Taco Bell quits selling the humble taco 101 is the day Kentucky Fried Chicken quits selling chicken so I figure my choice is fairly safe

But I too pine for the dearly departed tostada :frowning:

Taco Bell has always felt like the laziest of fast food places. Such an odd menu.

I love their shrimp tacos, though – always look forward to Lent for 'em. And those “cantina tacos” a year ago were pretty darn good.

Recently, the head of Taco Bell was pitching their new Dorito-flavored taco shells by saying, “Fast food has invented 20+ different buns, but there’s only one type of taco shell. Until now.” Apparently he hasn’t looked at his own menu lately, given that both soft and hard tacos exist, as well as the gordita and chalupas. For all intents and purposes, that’s four different shells already available.

Gravy?

Shrimp from Taco Bell? Y’all are a lot more brave than I am!
